This is complex program management level work in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the daily operations of the Fire Marshal’s Office of the Community Development Department. In addition, as County Fire Marshal, the employee occupying the position of this classification is responsible for administering and supervising fire code education, inspections, investigations, plans review and enforcement programs. Work involves responsibility for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the activities of subordinates responsible for the Fire Marshal's Office. The work requires making technical decisions related to State laws, County policy, ordinances, allocation of resources and divisional budgeting. The work also includes special staff and management assignments normally assigned to a division manager. Work is reviewed through periodic conferences, analysis of reports, and performance evaluations. Clark County Fire Marshall is to be fully qualified in the field of fire prevention and code enforcement to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the code official as set forth in Chapter 15.12 CLARK COUNTY FIRE CODE . The Clark County Fire Marshal shall be responsible for the administration and enforcement of this Code. In addition the Clark County Fire Marshal should foster consistent and positive collaboration within community development and all fire districts within Clark county Washington.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Four (4) year degree with major coursework in fire science or administration, law enforcement, business, or public administration, or related field. AND
Five (5) years experience in code administration or enforcement including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience. - OR -
Any equivalent combination (9 years) of relevant education, training and experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of this classification.
Possess a Fire Inspector certification from ICC or other approved organization.
Possess a Fire Investigator certification from NAFI, IAAI, or other approved organization.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
The incumbent must obtain a limited law enforcement commission from the Clark County Sheriff within one year of employment

Purpose Reporting to the Head of Printed & Published Media and Metadata Services, the Manager for Bibliographic Description serves as the lead cataloger of the unit, engaging in original and complex copy cataloging of modern and early printed books, manuscripts, serials, maps, visual materials, and other special formats; as well as activities geared to assure quality control, maintenance and remediation of the library catalog.
In consultation with the unit head, the Manager for Bibliographic Description establishes and monitors departmental workflows related to new acquisitions cataloging and serials receiving, and takes the lead in developing policies and procedures to ensure efficient, accurate, and effective cataloging of rare books and special formats. This position supervises a library assistant and has an essential role in serving as primary contact for public services staff on issues related to bibliographic descriptions, and maintaining the cataloging manual in the department wiki. Depending on ongoing projects, the Manager for Bibliographic Description might also hire, supervise and provide ongoing training of student assistant(s) and interns.

As Wild Animal Initiative’s first Major Gifts Officer, you will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to nurture current donors, identify prospective major donors, foster relationships, and drive fundraising efforts. You will join a growing Development team and be our first staff member dedicated to personally cultivating relationships with new and current donors to solicit the gifts that make our work possible.
You will use a donor-centric and moves-management approach to set a major gifts strategy and meet annual and long-term fundraising goals. This means that you will focus on perceiving our donors' needs, interests, and motivations and strategically guide them through various stages of engagement and solicitation. The ultimate goal is to increase funding by carefully nurturing connections and aligning donor interests with the goals of Wild Animal Initiative (WAI).
You will develop and implement strategies that foster strong donor relations and ensure that our supporters feel valued, engaged, and connected to what we're doing. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other Wild Animal Initiative departments, using your communication skills to cultivate partnerships and drive support.

Strategic fundraising solicitation: Execute targeted fundraising solicitations through persuasive conversations and the ability to contextualize WAI’s programmatic achievements and organizational goals, focusing on securing gifts of $5,000 and above to drive organizational growth and impact.
Donor alignment : Develop pitch decks and cases for support that resonate with various donors and donor communities, enhancing donor engagement and satisfaction.
Major gift fundraising: Secure five- and six-figure gifts from existing and new donors. Independently develop strategies that drive increased contributions and long-term support for organizational initiatives.
Prospect engagement strategy: Develop self-directed and tailored approaches to engaging high-impact donors, utilizing major gifts, planned giving, and event-based methods as appropriate.

The goal of the Unified program is to combine fundraising between LCVEF and participating state affiliates, resulting in more money from more donors to power the Conservation Voters Movement.
The Director of Institutional Writing and Strategy - Democracy will join a core team charged primarily with raising $60+ million annually from foundations and other institutions to support the charitable and public education programs of LCVEF and its sister organization, LCV. Responsibilities include the creation of all written content for institutional fundraising such as grant proposals, reports, and customized impact updates for existing and prospective funders. They will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of current funders and prospective funders as well as guiding the overall strategy for expanding funding for our democracy policy, advocacy, and civic engagement work. This work will be achieved through close collaboration with our national program staff and our network of state affiliates. We specialize in institutional campaigning, a strategic approach that can be tailored to our members’ unique circumstances and challenges. As the Digital Campaign Action Specialist, known internally as the Global Campaign Mobilization Specialist, you play an integral role in supporting global and regional campaigns through the management of the action app, a web-based application which enables supporters to take digital campaign actions. You will work closely with the Global Campaigns team to set up impactful actions that contribute to campaign victories, and you will develop and carry out a plan for mobilizing supporters around the world, including regional segmentation and supporter-building initiatives. You will also lead, train, and support OWA members in their use of the action app.
You are ideal for this position because you have excellent technology skills and attention to detail, which will enable you to effectively leverage our in-house advocacy platforms. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the Global Campaigns team to plan, design, and monitor impactful actions that will advance our cage-free work and secure victories in global campaigns.
Manage and develop our digital action platform. Lead supporter-building initiatives, with the aim of increasing the number of global action-takers. Incorporate regional segmentation of actions, allowing OWA groups greater use of the app to build and support regional campaigns.
Train and oversee OWA member groups in their use of the action app. Serve as the point of contact for any issues or questions that arise.

REQUIRED SKILLS
One year of experience working in pressure campaigns, grassroots organizing, social media management, and/or communications.

The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of The Humane League, is a global coalition of 90+ animal protection organizations united in a common goal: to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. For the past several years, we have focused our efforts on eliminating battery cages by securing cage-free policies from major retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers. We specialize in institutional campaigning, a strategic approach that can be tailored to our members’ unique circumstances and challenges. It also pays off; in the past year alone, OWA groups secured 23 global cage-free policies and over 160 regional cage-free policies.
As the Digital Campaign Action Specialist, known internally as the Global Campaign Mobilization Specialist, you play an integral role in supporting global and regional campaigns through the management of the action app, a web-based application which enables supporters to take digital campaign actions. You will work closely with the Global Campaigns team to set up impactful actions that contribute to campaign victories, and you will develop and carry out a plan for mobilizing supporters around the world, including regional segmentation and supporter-building initiatives. You will also lead, train, and support OWA members in their use of the action app.
You are ideal for this position because you have excellent technology skills and attention to detail, which will enable you to effectively leverage our in-house advocacy platforms. You are familiar with social media and possess the organization and communication skills needed to mobilize OWA member organizations. This position reports directly to the Senior Global Corporate Campaigns Manager.
This is a temporary, full-time, remote position . The temporary hire will provide coverage while a permanent staff member is on leave. Employment is expected to begin on approximately July 1st, 2024 and end on approximately July 31st, 2025. The duration of employment may be extended or shortened at The Humane League’s discretion. This position requires domestic and international travel for OWA summits and staff retreats; this is equivalent to approximately 2-4 week-long trips per year.
