The Department Information Systems Coordinator (DISC) provides technical assistance and support to the Sheriff’s Office, Jail Services, and other local law enforcement agencies in planning, developing, and operating a regional law enforcement information network. This position will work directly within Clark County Information Technology (IT) and collaborate with Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) management, with key responsibilities of overseeing database and application technologies used in reporting; optimizing systems for information analysis; and coordinating related enforcement activities among multiple agencies. These responsibilities necessitate both a thorough understanding of the department processes and workflow, and comprehensive knowledge of the capabilities of the available computer software and programs as well as various niche technology products specific to law enforcement. Duties typically include, but are not limited to: Assist in the installation, administration, and support of various CCSO, Jail Services, and vendor-based hardware and software systems/applications. • Participate in evaluating, recommending, and selecting application and/or hardware products needed to support the Sheriff’s Office or partner agencies. • Assist users on day-to-day computer related issues such as setting changes, printer issues, burn CDs/DVDs, file recovery, and general application use. • Provide initial or secondary troubleshooting on system/server failure and coordinate with County IT to determine the appropriate fixes. Assists in break fix where applicable or in County IT absence. • Assist in the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data transfer process between CCSO systems, County IT, and vendors. • Assist in the design and development of department level relational database (e.g. SQL database) and database objects to support in-house developed applications. (I.E. – Win-Pak) • Assist in coordinating database support functions for law enforcement systems including security administration, performance tuning, and data moves. • Perform system administration for reporting systems (e.g. SQL Reporting Service) including security administration, setup, bug fixes, and deployment. • Convert and migrate data from existing systems to new systems and provide on-going system maintenance for client. • Develop ad-hoc query, data extraction, and other reports to meet the department and external agencies objectives. (I.E. – SSRS reports) • Analyze data and create reports (I.E. – SSRS or other required formats for presentations) as needed for customers. • Monitor and track inventory of law enforcement hardware and software including laptops, projectors, etc. • Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic planning for the law enforcement IS support unit. • Research, suggest, design, validate, and deploy new law enforcement and mobile related technology. (I.E. – Apple iOS phones and iPads, Android phones, body cameras) • Assist in Bodycam support related to hardware and supporting applications. • Utilize MobileIron MDM solution to support the management of Apple iOS and Android phones. • Assist outside agencies on items and issues related to law enforcement records management systems. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Education equivalent to an associate degree in computer science or closely related field (directly related work experience may substitute for the degree requirement) plus three to five years of responsible experience in supporting computer technology users and systems is required. The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.

Working Conditions : The Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager spends approximately 20% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to excessive humidity and noise. The remaining 80% of his/her time is spent in an automobile or patient home, which may or may not have heat/air conditioning. The position has potential for exposure to malodorous odors, infectious body fluids from patients, animal pet hair, allergens in the home environment, some exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents, and exposure to communicable diseases and traffic.
Essential Functions of the Field Staff RN/Case Manager Position
Maintains a caseload of patients. Oversees the direction and coordination of the patient’s care and the care provided for their caregiver/family.
Provides direct patient care that includes all aspects of the nursing process, including participation of on-call after hours care.
Demonstrates basic registered nurse clinical skills. Gives a practical exhibition and explanation at the required annual skills day.
On each visit completes a physical assessment, medication review, and a symptom and pain evaluation. Communicates findings to the hospice physician and obtains orders to manage care.
Communicates pertinent information to all disciplines by communicator, telephone, TigerText, and at the IDT meeting.
Reviews and updates the Plan of Care (POC) on each visit.
Responsible for initiating the Hospice Aide (HA) POC and supervising visits at least every 14 days per Medicare regulation.
Knowledgeable in patterns of disease progression at end of life and provides ongoing patient/family/caregiver education.
Knowledgeable in principles of end of life pain and symptom management. Considers patient/family/caregiver stated values and goals when considering treatment options ensuring their patients are as pain-free and symptom-free as possible.
Identifies the physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs related to the terminal illness. Collaborates with IDT to meet those needs.
Documents the elements of each assessment in a systematic and timely manner according to the Policies and Standards of Performance.
Oversees the activity of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as they provide patient care.
Participate in on-call after-hour care. In the on-call role, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager triages calls and demonstrates critical thinking skills as they prioritize and address each situation.
In an emergency/crisis event, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager demonstrates the ability to take control of a situation, understands and prioritizes care needs, and executes a plan quickly.
Provides emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial support to patients/family/caregivers. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient/family/caregiver.
At the IDT meeting, at least every 15 days, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager shares new information concerning the patient’s disease progression, discuss how to further improve the patient’s quality of life and comfort, and ensures that the care plan is consistent with the patient’s end of life core wishes.
Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment to ensure deadlines, goals, and objectives are met.
Demonstrates the ability to embrace change, manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.
Builds relationships and collaborates effectively with internal and external customers while cultivating referrals and referral sources. Identifies and analyzes problems in the referral/admission process and offers solutions for better customer service and satisfaction. Participates in QAPI activities.
Organized and works efficiently with minimal supervision. Is a self-starter who demonstrates flexibility, motivation, initiative, and commitment. Ensures required assigned education is finished in the specified time.

Working Conditions : The Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager spends approximately 20% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to excessive humidity and noise. The remaining 80% of his/her time is spent in an automobile or patient home, which may or may not have heat/air conditioning. The position has potential for exposure to malodorous odors, infectious body fluids from patients, animal pet hair, allergens in the home environment, some exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents, and exposure to communicable diseases and traffic.
Essential Functions of the Field Staff RN/Case Manager Position
Maintains a caseload of patients. Oversees the direction and coordination of the patient’s care and the care provided for their caregiver/family.
Provides direct patient care that includes all aspects of the nursing process, including participation of on-call after hours care.
Demonstrates basic registered nurse clinical skills. Gives a practical exhibition and explanation at the required annual skills day.
On each visit completes a physical assessment, medication review, and a symptom and pain evaluation. Communicates findings to the hospice physician and obtains orders to manage care.
Communicates pertinent information to all disciplines by communicator, telephone, TigerText, and at the IDT meeting.
Reviews and updates the Plan of Care (POC) on each visit.
Responsible for initiating the Hospice Aide (HA) POC and supervising visits at least every 14 days per Medicare regulation.
Knowledgeable in patterns of disease progression at end of life and provides ongoing patient/family/caregiver education.
Knowledgeable in principles of end of life pain and symptom management. Considers patient/family/caregiver stated values and goals when considering treatment options ensuring their patients are as pain-free and symptom-free as possible.
Identifies the physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs related to the terminal illness. Collaborates with IDT to meet those needs.
Documents the elements of each assessment in a systematic and timely manner according to the Policies and Standards of Performance.
Oversees the activity of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as they provide patient care.
Participate in on-call after-hour care. In the on-call role, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager triages calls and demonstrates critical thinking skills as they prioritize and address each situation.
In an emergency/crisis event, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager demonstrates the ability to take control of a situation, understands and prioritizes care needs, and executes a plan quickly.
Provides emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial support to patients/family/caregivers. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient/family/caregiver.
At the IDT meeting, at least every 15 days, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager shares new information concerning the patient’s disease progression, discuss how to further improve the patient’s quality of life and comfort, and ensures that the care plan is consistent with the patient’s end of life core wishes.
Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment to ensure deadlines, goals, and objectives are met.
Demonstrates the ability to embrace change, manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.

Use information from multiple computer systems simultaneously to target appropriate blood drives for donor, update donor records as needed and to record outcomes of calls. Schedule appointments while providing positive service experience to maximize donor show rates. Follow a process and appropriate scripting for conducting a call with a donor, to ensure a consistent donor experience. Maintain daily production standard, including phone calls and appointments per hour, to meet established collection goals. Develop a working knowledge of donor criteria to inform donors of eligibility and reduce deferral rates. Maintain accurate records of donors/groups contacted and appointments scheduled to avoid errors, poor customer relations and to ensure sufficient donor availability. May develop new leads and implement new donor recruitment programs to ensure an increased donor base and an adequate blood supply. Respond to or transfer inbound calls to the appropriate party. Perform other related duties as assigned. May coordinate support of community and business donor groups to assure a positive image of the American Red Cross. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): As a Medical Technologist at the Red Cross, you will perform basic and guided advanced donor and patient tests and interpret results to determine donor-recipient compatibility. Resolve compatibility problems; provide intermediate reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services. Perform automated and manual test procedures on blood samples. Adhere to explicit standard operating procedures and interpret test results in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Maintenance of exceptional and rare donor products. Perform and interpret independent basic and complex donor and/or patient testing procedures and complete required quality control, as appropriate to state and federal regulations. Recognize testing irregularities, identify the cause, determine the solution, and resolve the problem or refer it to the appropriate level. May assume lead responsibilities to maintain, edit and review computer and manual records to assure accurate record keeping. Maintain accurate, legible, and complete records. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: As a QC Lab Technologist, you will perform basic through advanced manufacturing, processing, and test procedures on blood products, and will interpret test results before releasing blood to area hospitals. In a highly regulated environment, you will manufacture and prepare pathogen-reduced platelet products for hospital patient use. Successful QC Lab Technologists will have a strong attention to detail, a customer-service focus, and the ability to treat both internal and external customers with compassion at all times. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD Key Responsibilities: Perform moderate to high complexity laboratory testing procedures and interpret various testing procedures on donor specimens, and blood products; Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements. Meet the quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department. Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution. Meet the quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department, and appropriately manage any exceptions. Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements. Perform quality control on products, reagents, equipment, and various test kits; maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory locations for products/samples. Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with cross-functional teams. The aforementioned responsibilities of the position describe the general nature and level of work and are not an exhaustive list. Standard Schedule: (Swing/Evening shift) Shifts available: Wednesday through Saturday, or Thursday through Sunday. The hours for the days are as follows: Wednesday and Thursday: 3:00 pm to 1:30 am Friday through Sunday 2:00 pm to 12:30 am Paid training will take place on the day shift, Monday through Friday (approximately 8am to 5:00pm) for 4-6 weeks. Pay Information: $25 per hour, plus an additional 1.75/hour for hours worked after 3:00 pm. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Associate degree in science, or Bachelor’s degree in an applied science Minimum 4 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Must meet state and CLIA requirements where applicable. Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment, personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods. Ability to work with a team. Physical Requirements: Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.
