Job Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Planning, the Dean of Admissions leads the Office of Admissions and supervises all five areas within the office, including: recruitment & selection, access & pre-college programming, visitor experience, international and veterans & special populations. The Dean provides leadership to a diverse group of team members and creates and maintains a culture of shared responsibility and innovation. The principal strategist and thought leader within the office, the Dean must establish admission strategies, policies and procedures in accordance with the goals and priorities of the institution, as well as be committed to promoting diversity and inclusion. The Dean is responsible for managing the day-to-day office operations, recruitment plans, selection process and budgetary activities and services. The Dean serves as an integral and collaborative member of the university community to implement and prioritize the institution’s Strategic Plan.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent in Higher Education or related field is required. Six years of progressive supervisory and management roles in admissions or student services/affairs. Ability to develop and utilize information technology systems to run an efficient operation, utilize data to forecast enrollment trends and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment activities. Excellent communication and organizational skills; proven leadership abilities and the skills and desire to build and maintain an office wide culture of positivity and professionalism. Excellent writer and dynamic presenter. Demonstrated experience with the recruitment of diverse student populations. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Must have knowledge of the principles of higher education and a selective and competitive college selection process.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
This position will require travel outside of the Charleston area frequently. Additionally, overnight stays out of state, as well as weekend and evening work will be required at varying times through the admission cycle.

People and Culture Generalist General Duties: The People & Culture Generalist will oversee the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture Department, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, as well as maintaining staff files, providing back-up support to payroll, coordinating benefits enrollment, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for People & Culture support, administration, and employee relations for both Day & Residential Camp(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to data entry; benefits; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Recruit for open positions within the organization utilizing a variety of resources to reach qualified applicants.
Develops and maintains relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources.
Work closely with department managers to ensure hiring and termination procedures are followed.
Coordinates the resolution of policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
Participate in the performance management program, providing advice and assistance to department managers.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and onboarding.
Maintain job descriptions for all current positions and developing descriptions for new positions, working closely with department managers.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

The Office of Statewide Pretrial Services’ (OSPS or Office) mission is to assist in the administration of justice and promote community safety by ensuring fairness and equality in the pretrial process. The OSPS is a statewide office that provides pretrial services under the Pretrial Services Act, 725 ILCS 185. The Office develops pretrial standards and employs pretrial service officers who conduct pretrial investigations and provide pretrial supervision.
The Pretrial Services Officer has two primary responsibilities which include the interviewing of detained pretrial defendants, accurately scoring pretrial release assessments, and preparation of pretrial release reports for the local court. This position will also be responsible for the community supervision of those defendants released by the local court on pretrial release supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Pretrial Services Officers prepare pretrial reports and provide pretrial supervision to adults arrested on criminal charges. Pretrial Services Officers work under the general supervision of the Field Supervisor, Deputy Region Chief and Region Chief within the Division of Pretrial Operations. This position requires working 37.5 hours per week and overtime when necessary.

FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
· Delivers information services in English and Spanish to defendants through multiple modes of communication, including telephone, text messaging and email.
· Completes pretrial assessments for defendants arrested on criminal charges.
· Interviews defendants in English and Spanish and assembles information and data concerning employment, residency, criminal record, and social background of arrested persons.

· Refers clients on pretrial supervision to appropriate services and maintains regular contact with referral sources.

The OSPS is a statewide office that provides pretrial services under the Pretrial Services Act, 725 ILCS 185. The Office develops pretrial standards and employs pretrial service officers who conduct pretrial investigations and provide pretrial supervision.
The Pretrial Services Officer has two primary responsibilities which include the interviewing of detained pretrial defendants, accurately scoring pretrial release assessments, and preparation of pretrial release reports for the local court. This position will also be responsible for the community supervision of those defendants released by the local court on pretrial release supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Pretrial Services Officers prepare pretrial reports and provide pretrial supervision to adults arrested on criminal charges. Pretrial Services Officers work under the general supervision of the Field Supervisor, Deputy Region Chief and Region Chief within the Division of Pretrial Operations. This position requires working 37.5 hours per week and overtime when necessary.
*Shift will be determined to fit operational needs of the court which may include working weekends.
FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
· Delivers information services in English and Spanish to defendants through multiple modes of communication, including telephone, text messaging and email.
· Completes pretrial assessments for defendants arrested on criminal charges.
· Interviews defendants in English and Spanish and assembles information and data concerning employment, residency, criminal record, and social background of arrested persons.
· Collects records of criminal history and failure to appear history through electronic judicial case management systems, pretrial case management systems, LEADS/NCIC and other sources.
· Verifies and documents information collected from the defendant through collateral contacts to ensure accuracy and completeness of pretrial reports.
· Prepares and files with the court pretrial reports including a pretrial assessment, social background information, criminal history, specific recommendations based on assessed risk and status updates on the defendant’s compliance with pretrial conditions.
· Attends and testifies at court hearings where the status of defendant’s pretrial release or conditions are determined, reviewed or evaluated, modified, or stricken.
· Administers pretrial intakes and monitors defendant’s compliance with pretrial conditions through regular, documented, contact with defendants in person, by telephone, text message, email, or virtually.
· Refers clients on pretrial supervision to appropriate services and maintains regular contact with referral sources.
· Observes, collects, and processes drug and alcohol testing samples.
· Informs the court, state’s attorney, and public defender of noncompliance with conditions of pretrial supervision.
· Provides written notification to defendants of court appearances by letter, email or text message.
· Attends OSPS pretrial services trainings and maintains a working knowledge of state laws and national standards pertaining to pretrial services.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
2. Candidates must be fluent in oral and written Spanish.
3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
4. A valid Illinois Driver’s License, a safe driving record and proof of automobile insurance to operate a personal vehicle on state business.

Preferred Qualifications:

SALARY STATEMENT: Starting salary is $74,009 (non-negotiable). Faculty may be eligible to advance every other year; current top step is $104,250. Job Purpose
Utilities Plant Operator operates and maintains the generation and distribution of chilled water, steam and condensate. Operator is responsible for ensuring emergency corrective actions are taken within the Plant and to the distribution network on campus, including after-hours work.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma and three years of specialized mechanical experience in the operation and maintenance of large steam boilers, centrifugal chilled water units, cooling towers and related mechanical equipment. Must have a valid SC driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, as the employee will be required to drive state vehicles to transport equipment &/or personnel when needed. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Must have knowledge of boiler and associated equipment repair, pipe fitting and basic electricity. Position requires basic computer skills and working knowledge and experience in using e-mail. Job Purpose
Utilities Plant Operator operates and maintains the generation and distribution of chilled water, steam and condensate. Operator is responsible for ensuring emergency corrective actions are taken within the Plant and to the distribution network on campus, including after-hours work.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma and three years of specialized mechanical experience in the operation and maintenance of large steam boilers, centrifugal chilled water units, cooling towers and related mechanical equipment. Must have a valid SC driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, as the employee will be required to drive state vehicles to transport equipment &/or personnel when needed. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have knowledge of boiler and associated equipment repair, pipe fitting and basic electricity. Position requires basic computer skills and working knowledge and experience in using e-mail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is preferred. Experience in utilizing on-line work order systems is a plus. Skill with electronic devices such as iPhone and iPad is preferred. Must be able to follow oral & written instructions. All employees at the College are expected to perform their jobs in a safe manner in accordance with best safety practices as prescribed by their department, the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration training as provided by Facilities Management at the College of Charleston.

Must be physically able to perform the duties as described. Must be able to perform manual labor and work outside in all types of weather. Must be able to work in close quarters, climb ladders/stairs, enter/exit hatches and manholes, as well as, lift/operate heavy equipment. Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat/cold and lift or move objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. May be required to be on campus during and immediately following all emergencies such as hurricanes, floods, etc. This position is critical and requires the incumbent to be reliable, highly qualified, capable of performing independent duties under pressure, and possess supervisory ability. This position involves working on a rotating shift as the Central Energy Facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Overtime work may be required, as needed, due to staffing shortages, emergencies, etc.

Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is a journey level position performing skilled work using standardized practices for the following Specialist position: Journey Level Electrician. Incumbents are responsible for repair, adjustment, and maintenance of building systems and equipment within their specialty. The Preventative Maintenance Shop Supervisor plans, coordinates, supervises, assigns, and assist with the work of the Preventative Maintenance shop. Evaluates specific needs of each job, places orders for materials, and tracks cost. Determines work order priority and schedules work to be completed. Performs administrative tasks and accesses work orders in AiM via computer, or mobile device, to include ensuring work orders are assigned within 2 business days, work orders are properly scheduled, materials are ordered, received and dispersed in AiM, proper notes are added by staff and proper time and materials are posted. To perform a high level of preventive maintenance on a variety of light commercial mechanical equipment at an institutional setting. To work independently to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC auxiliary equipment, plumbing equipment related to mechanical equipment, electrical equipment such as motors, breakers and their associated controls. Duties include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment problems and making repairs as required.
Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma or GED , completion of a technical training program in a maintenance trade equivalent. Building Condition Assessment. Assists in developing and managing the department’s building and grounds condition assessment program. Assists with maintaining an accurate inventory of building components, assesses the cumulative effects of wear and tear on these components, identifies premature component failure and risks associated with the failure to take action, forecasts asset replacement or refurbishment needs, conducts in-field cost estimating, forecasts and models (life cycle cost analysis) to determine the economic benefits of maintenance strategies, and ascertains compliance with regulations and codes. Documents the physical description and specifications of all building components and develops a photographic dossier of building components, inclusive of all observed deficiencies. Updates various databases to review and update building equipment lists and data on condition assessment of building components. Coordinates with Trades and Maintenance Services shops and Facilities Engineering to perform detailed visual inspections and building condition assessments. Assists with compiling required State reports and coordinates with Facilities Engineering to develop the highest priority renovation and renewal needs based upon the building audit data.

What You Need to Know You will entail final product labeling of all blood products, irradiating / xraying of blood products for special orders. You will be able to work independently with a high volume of work with minimal supervision. Maintains knowledge of procedures necessary to perform and interpret tests and to generate immunohematology test results. Maintain knowledge of procedures necessary to perform production, quarantine and release of blood products. Performs quality control functions and daily equipment maintenance. Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintains neat and accurate records and a clean and orderly work area. Recognizes and reports discrepant results or conditions to the supervisor. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Participates and/or assists in laboratory education and training. May serve as a trainer for new hires. Attends continuing education programs. Performs tasks relating to ongoing evaluations and projects as requested. Provides on-call coverage as required. Ensures that customer satisfaction is always given top priority. Standard Schedule: Friday-Tuesday, 4:00pm-12:30am Pay Information: $24.50 per hour, plus applicable differentials for working late nights, overnights, and on the weekends. $1500 sign on bonus available. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: High school diploma, GED or equivalent required 30 credits in college level math and/or science required Good computer skills, ability to use a wide variety of programs and laboratory equipment, attention to detail, a ccurate documentation, and good decision-making skills. Good communication skills, with the ability to work on a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision Physical Requirements : Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs unassisted. Frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds on flat flooring or ramps. Frequently required to stand for long periods, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Able to withstand temperatures in a typical blood banking environment including refrigerators and freezers. Position may require climbing of step ladders. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs.
