Job Summary
The employees occupying the positions of this class are responsible for performing and resolving technical and complex civil engineering tasks and problems within the framework of broad engineering and administrative guidelines within transportation. The Engineer I is an entry level engineer position in the Public Works Department. These employees operate from an office or in the field performing work under the supervision of an administrative supervisor. This is the first step in a career progression that continues to the Engineer II position and the Engineer III position. Engineer II employees work on more complex engineering tasks with less supervision and Engineer III employees manage the most complex engineering projects and are Certified Professional Engineers. The Engineer II position is the second step in a career progression that begins with Engineer I and ends with Engineer III. Engineer II employees perform tasks with limited supervision and require substantial use of independent judgment within the scope of advanced engineering assignments. Engineer I employees perform basic engineer work under the supervision of an administrative supervisor. Engineer III employees manage the more technical engineering projects and are Certified Professional Engineers. This transportation professional role is responsible for the review of land use and development engineering applications, plans, and reports for transportation concurrency, street and road standards. This position will be responsible to prepare transportation staff findings and presentations to the County hearings examiner regarding the required public improvements. Qualifications
Engineer I
Education and Experience:
• B.S. degree in Civil or related engineering.
- OR -
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and two (2) years relative engineering work experience and possession of an E.I.T. certification.
Knowledge of: engineering principles, practices and the techniques and equipment involved; physical (hydraulics, mechanics, etc.) and mathematical (trigonometry, calculus, geometry, etc.) sciences and their application to engineering and field surveying computations and engineering design; construction materials, material testing and application; basic principles of supervision.

The Administrative Services Division within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic 3 position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
In this role, you have the unique opportunity to take ownership of the daily functions and needs of the entire Department of Ecology headquarters building in Lacey. With over 300,000 square feet of office space, lab, and storage spaces plus the surrounding 48-acre property, you will be involved in many different projects throughout the spectrum of trades as the building’s maintenance technician. Your days will include general maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to, patch and paint of walls, minor electrical repairs, building HVAC system controls monitoring and settings, plumbing, and vendor relations. What makes this role unique?
As the sole technician of the Ecology headquarters building, you play a crucial role as the first point of contact for tenants seeking assistance with building issues. Multiple government agencies have office space in this building, each with their own identity, mission, and corresponding needs and processes, offering this position a unique blend of challenges and variety. Much like other office spaces, the building is transitioning from traditional in-office work to a hybrid format. You will play a key role in facilitating that change as smoothly as possible.
What you will do:
Conduct daily in-person inspection and assessments of the building and grounds.
Coordinate with vendors and tenants to facilitate repairs.
Perform general repairs and maintenance of building hardware and fixtures.
Respond to customer inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance service to assigned building equipment.
Maintain an orderly tool shop and workspace.
Build healthy relationships with the building tenants and vendors.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled trade.
One year of experience as a journey-level worker in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work.

Duties
What makes this role unique?
As the sole technician of the Ecology headquarters building, you play a crucial role as the first point of contact for tenants seeking assistance with building issues. Multiple government agencies have office space in this building, each with their own identity, mission, and corresponding needs and processes, offering this position a unique blend of challenges and variety. Much like other office spaces, the building is transitioning from traditional in-office work to a hybrid format. You will play a key role in facilitating that change as smoothly as possible.
What you will do:
Conduct daily in-person inspection and assessments of the building and grounds.
Coordinate with vendors and tenants to facilitate repairs.
Perform general repairs and maintenance of building hardware and fixtures.
Respond to customer inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance service to assigned building equipment.
Maintain an orderly tool shop and workspace.
Build healthy relationships with the building tenants and vendors.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.
Option 1:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled trade.
One year of experience as a journey-level worker in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work.

Intertek is searching for a Technician I to join our Building & Construction team in our Lithia Springs, GA office.
In this position you will prepare, conduct, and report tests to industry standards in addition to developing and coordinating projects.
You will be responsible for reading, understanding, and interpreting standards and test methods for conducting industry test methods on building products and assemblies to evaluate the performance, safety characteristics, and compliance to applicable standards.
What you’ll do:
Take full responsibility for assigned projects
Manage all assigned jobs through Oasis (proposals, job progress, job notifications, invoicing, documentation of test data, reporting, job closure)
Review and thoroughly understand contract requirements, and obtain authorization for and document any deviations
Coordinate test schedule with equipment schedule and other department testing
Track and condition test specimens
Set-up/mount and perform standard and advanced/specialty tests on building products in accordance with referenced specifications and procedures
Check calibration status of test equipment prior to testing

Position Summary:
EYA, an award winning residential builder/developer, is seeking a Warranty Technician to support our multiple communities in the Washington Metropolitan Area. In this position, you will provide warranty service punchout work to homeowners after closing. Working in occupied homes, you must ensure that punch lists are thoroughly completed for our customers by focusing on quality work and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Perform residential repair work to complete punch lists in a timely manner and keep customers happy.
Help organize laborers and assist subcontractors in work locations.
Prioritize items on warranty list to ensure completion during scheduled time.
Review warranty lists prior to day of scheduled repairs and plan for necessary tools and materials to complete repairs.
Work with other project team members and homeowners to complete warranty punch lists.
Maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships. Communicate company’s quality and performance standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment with a focus on site protection (such as flooring and furniture), and cleanup.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in painting, drywall, light carpentry and finish work in residential construction.
Ability to work with homeowners and adapt to changing situations.
A general knowledge and understanding of residential home building including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Reliable transportation
Must have hand tools and power tools, but other job supplies will be provided (fasteners, saw blades, etc.).
