Hours:
This role is expected to work 40 hours/week on the HHC campus, except when offsite for HHC work-related purposes. The existing schedule is eight hours per day between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Benefits:
HHC benefits are available to employees who consistently work a minimum of 24 hours a week. Benefits offered are subject to change at HHC's sole discretion.
Health Benefits: Employees may elect medical, dental, vision & life insurance plans.

Job Summary
This position supports the Communicable Disease & Tuberculosis (TB) services unit within the Clark County Public Health Infectious Disease Program. This unit is responsible for the investigation, prevention, and control of communicable diseases in Clark County. The unit provides rapid response to disease outbreaks, including case investigation, TB case management, response, and implementation of preventive measures to control disease spread in the community. The incumbent will perform a variety of public health nursing activities related to the control of tuberculosis and other communicable diseases, including surveillance and response. Position Overview

The Director of Nursing serves as an integral member of our leadership team helping to fulfill our commitment to excellent individual care and Treatment. Job Responsibilities
Serves as Director of Nursing. Manages, plans, directs and organizes the functions of the Center’s Nursing Services.
Serves as full-line supervisor.
Assists the Regional Executive Director in managing and directing the health care services for the Center.
Recommends to the Regional Executive Director the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Develops in-service education programs for professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
Develops budget and staffing plans for review by the Regional Executive Director and Center Director.
Conducts unannounced inspections of the grounds, buildings, offices and living units to determine cleanliness, compliance to policies and procedures, drug security measures and certification standards during and after business hours and on holidays/weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Responsibilities
Serves as Director of Nursing. Manages, plans, directs and organizes the functions of the Center’s Nursing Services.
Serves as full-line supervisor.
Assists the Regional Executive Director in managing and directing the health care services for the Center.
Recommends to the Regional Executive Director the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Develops in-service education programs for professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
Develops budget and staffing plans for review by the Regional Executive Director and Center Director.
Conducts unannounced inspections of the grounds, buildings, offices and living units to determine cleanliness, compliance to policies and procedures, drug security measures and certification standards during and after business hours and on holidays/weekends.
Conducts staff meetings with both subordinate managers and other subordinate staff to discuss new policies and procedures.
Provides active nursing care to individuals.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in nursing.
Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of professional experience supervising paraprofessional and professional nursing staff, assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff and preparing and signing performance evaluations.
Three (3) years of professional experience performing quality assurance assessments to improve the quality of care delivered to individuals.
Three (3) years of professional experience directing and managing the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a nursing services program for a public or private organization to ensure that all individuals care is done in a complete, effective, proper and timely manner.
Three (3) years of professional experience providing advice and guidance regarding the most difficult nursing issues.
Two (2) years of professional experience recommending and implementing nursing policies and procedures relative to latest trends and nursing standards.
Two (2) years of professional experience developing budget and staffing plans for a public or private organization.
One (1) year of basic proficiency in the use of office equipment, including personal computers and basic computer skills.

The Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) seeks a part-time, seasonal (20 hours/week from May to November 2024) Recreation and Restoration Programs Assistant to provide on-the-water, field, and facility support for our organization. This position works with and reports directly to the Manager of Volunteer and Recreation Programs, and works collaboratively across the organization.
The Recreation and Restoration Programs Assistant will be an exciting opportunity to contribute to the watershed’s restoration and the engagement of diverse communities, partners, and other stakeholders to deliver on our mission to protect and restore the Anacostia watershed for all who live here and for future generations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates and manages authorizations for referrals from our primary care providers to outside providers, including to medical specialists and outside facilities for special testing/imaging in a timely manner.
Facilitates and ensures the receipt of consult/specialty notes and test results after a patient has been referred to an outside provider in a timely manner.
Communicates with primary care provider (PCP) to inform of any delays or barriers to patients care.
Serves as clinic liaison to outside agencies and partners.
Communicates with Supervisor when unable to process all referrals or follow-ups to avoid delays.
Involve in all quality improvement and other team projects actively.
Reporting of incoming and outgoing calls logs to the supervisor as needed.
Coordinator and tracking imaging, voicemails and incoming faxes inside and outside facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
Training and Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and electronic health records. Bilingual in Spanish/ English required
Knowledge of:
Basic medical terminology and patient care methods, techniques and healthcare background.
Methods and standard procedures for the maintenance of medical records.
Safety policies and safe practices applicable to the work.
