Job Highlight:

Executive Director Position
The next Executive Director (ED) of the Voters Not Politicians family of organizations (Voters Not Politicians or VNP) will have the opportunity to capitalize on VNP’s experience and national reputation as a formidable changemaker and lead the organization into its next chapter. This is a high profile, demanding role that requires exceptional leadership skills combined with a passionate commitment to movement building. The Executive Director must have a growth mentality with a “do it now” attitude.
The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and planning for the Voters Not Politicians 501(c)(4), Voters Education Fund 501(c)(3), Voters Not Politicians Ballot Committee, and Voters Action Committee SuperPAC. The Executive Director is also responsible for providing clear strategic direction and creating an inclusive, supportive, stimulating, and challenging environment for staff and volunteers. The Executive Director provides vision and leadership to develop organizational capacities and capabilities, including people, content, skills, and operating processes, to sustain and advance the organizations’ missions and goals as established by their respective Boards of Directors.
The Executive Director is the leader and vocal champion of the organizations and is responsible for implementing their programs and leading all fundraising initiatives. The Executive Director is the liaison between the Board, staff, and volunteers. The Executive Director reports to, seeks guidance from, and provides support to the Boards of Directors.
This is a full-time, remote position in the state of Michigan, and the next Executive Director must live in Michigan or be willing to relocate. The expected start date for this position is December 2, 2024. The primary responsibilities of this position, with respect to each organization, are in five areas:
Strategy and Direction
Develops, with input from the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, the strategic vision for the organization;
Responsible for developing the innovative, grassroots aspects of strategy, and champions how to achieve objectives with nontraditional tactics that align with values (nonpartisan, grassroots, citizen-led, inclusive, volunteer empowerment);
Consults with subject matter experts as needed for strategy and policy development;
Reports progress on goal and operational issues to the Boards of Directors in writing prior to scheduled Board meetings and participates in those meetings as a non-voting member;
Works with the volunteers, staff, Board members, partners, and consultants as necessary to develop strategic solutions to complex challenges; and
Keeps Boards informed of significant developments and changes in the internal and external environment and supports staff and volunteers to inform the entire organization.
Communications, culture, and values
Is a campaign and organization spokesperson, giving interviews and attending internal and external events, and championing the organization and mission to stakeholders;
Models and represents the organization’s culture and values, both internally and externally;
Spearheads programs aimed to ensure the Voters Not Politicians community is diverse, equitable and inclusive;
Collaborates with communications team and consultants to ensure effective external written and verbal communications about the organization and its mission, priorities, programs, and activities; and
Supports program and development teams in creating and maintaining beneficial relationships with donors, funders, supporters, collaborators, allies, vendors, and other stakeholders, according to the strategic plan.
Staff and Leadership
Cultivates and maintains relationships with political and nonprofit groups across Michigan and nationwide in accordance with the strategic plan and vision of the organization;
Leads process of hiring full-time staff;
Supports the Boards and their committees in carrying out their work;
Works with staff to ensure that the operation of the organization meets the expectations of the Boards of Directors and funders;
Supports staff in meeting their professional and personal development goals; and
Cultivates a culture of mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being.
Governance and Administration
Works with the Board Chairs to help ensure the strategic plan directives and policies are communicated and understood by staff and volunteers;
Supports Board recruitment efforts;
Directs staff to ensure the Boards’ directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out; and
Supports staff and Finance Committee to prepare and present an annual budget to the Boards of Directors.
Finance and Fundraising
Oversees the Senior Development Director;
Drives key results in resource development, which includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospective donors and key leaders of prospective new partners; leveraging personal and professional contacts and relationships into fundraising opportunities; and promoting a culture of fundraising in the organization, both at the staff and Board level; and
Works with the staff and Boards to create long term budgetary and financial plans, reviews financial data on a regular basis; and
Makes financial projections for the organization and closely monitors fiscal health indicators such cash flows, tax compliance, and risk management strategies as needed.

This is a high profile, demanding role that requires exceptional leadership skills combined with a passionate commitment to movement building. The Executive Director must have a growth mentality with a “do it now” attitude.
The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and planning for the Voters Not Politicians 501(c)(4), Voters Education Fund 501(c)(3), Voters Not Politicians Ballot Committee, and Voters Action Committee SuperPAC. The Executive Director is also responsible for providing clear strategic direction and creating an inclusive, supportive, stimulating, and challenging environment for staff and volunteers. The Executive Director provides vision and leadership to develop organizational capacities and capabilities, including people, content, skills, and operating processes, to sustain and advance the organizations’ missions and goals as established by their respective Boards of Directors.
The Executive Director is the leader and vocal champion of the organizations and is responsible for implementing their programs and leading all fundraising initiatives. The Executive Director is the liaison between the Board, staff, and volunteers. The Executive Director reports to, seeks guidance from, and provides support to the Boards of Directors.
This is a full-time, remote position in the state of Michigan, and the next Executive Director must live in Michigan or be willing to relocate. The expected start date for this position is December 2, 2024. The primary responsibilities of this position, with respect to each organization, are in five areas:
Strategy and Direction
Develops, with input from the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, the strategic vision for the organization;
Responsible for developing the innovative, grassroots aspects of strategy, and champions how to achieve objectives with nontraditional tactics that align with values (nonpartisan, grassroots, citizen-led, inclusive, volunteer empowerment);
Consults with subject matter experts as needed for strategy and policy development;
Reports progress on goal and operational issues to the Boards of Directors in writing prior to scheduled Board meetings and participates in those meetings as a non-voting member;
Works with the volunteers, staff, Board members, partners, and consultants as necessary to develop strategic solutions to complex challenges; and
Keeps Boards informed of significant developments and changes in the internal and external environment and supports staff and volunteers to inform the entire organization.

Is a campaign and organization spokesperson, giving interviews and attending internal and external events, and championing the organization and mission to stakeholders;
Models and represents the organization’s culture and values, both internally and externally;
Spearheads programs aimed to ensure the Voters Not Politicians community is diverse, equitable and inclusive;
Collaborates with communications team and consultants to ensure effective external written and verbal communications about the organization and its mission, priorities, programs, and activities; and
Supports program and development teams in creating and maintaining beneficial relationships with donors, funders, supporters, collaborators, allies, vendors, and other stakeholders, according to the strategic plan.
Staff and Leadership
Cultivates and maintains relationships with political and nonprofit groups across Michigan and nationwide in accordance with the strategic plan and vision of the organization;
Leads process of hiring full-time staff;
Supports the Boards and their committees in carrying out their work;
Works with staff to ensure that the operation of the organization meets the expectations of the Boards of Directors and funders;
Supports staff in meeting their professional and personal development goals; and
Cultivates a culture of mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being.
Governance and Administration
Works with the Board Chairs to help ensure the strategic plan directives and policies are communicated and understood by staff and volunteers;
Supports Board recruitment efforts;
Directs staff to ensure the Boards’ directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out; and
Supports staff and Finance Committee to prepare and present an annual budget to the Boards of Directors.
Finance and Fundraising
Oversees the Senior Development Director;
Drives key results in resource development, which includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospective donors and key leaders of prospective new partners; leveraging personal and professional contacts and relationships into fundraising opportunities; and promoting a culture of fundraising in the organization, both at the staff and Board level; and
Works with the staff and Boards to create long term budgetary and financial plans, reviews financial data on a regular basis; and
Makes financial projections for the organization and closely monitors fiscal health indicators such cash flows, tax compliance, and risk management strategies as needed.

Salary Range:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work 24 hours per week or more are eligible for the below benefits
Health Benefits : Employees may elect medical, dental, vision & life insurance plans.
Simple IRA : Employees may choose to make salary reduction contributions through HHC’s Simple IRA plan and HHC will match the employee’s contribution up to a maximum of 3% of the employee’s annual salary.
Vacation : Upon hire, employees earn 4.62 hours of vacation per paycheck up to 120 hours (3 weeks) in a year. Accruals are adjusted to increase vacation earned per hours worked based on length of employment with HHC.
Holidays : HHC observes twelve (12) holidays throughout the year. Salaried employees are paid for these holidays according to the nationally recognized observation day for each holiday. In addition, salaried employees are currently gifted either the week of Christmas or the week of New Year’s off, to be scheduled at the discretion of their supervisor.
Sick Leave : HHC provides eligible employees with Paid Sick and Safe Leave (PSSL) and Public Health Emergency Leave (PHEL) in accordance with the requirements of Colorado's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA).
Mental Health Days: Employees are given two (2) mental health days per year to use at their discretion.

Position Overview
America Votes is seeking a talented staff or project manager and mid-senior campaign strategist for a full-time position as Ohio Deputy State Director. The Deputy State Director will take a strategic, collaborative, and flexible approach to their work with the state coalition and the coordination of strategies between state based partner organizations and national partners. The position will have responsibility in supporting the scale-up, direct support, and coordination of canvass operations. They will work with the America Votes team in Ohio and will support advancing team priorities and goals, with direct management responsibilities. The Deputy State Director works closely with dozens of partner organizations and allies within the state's progressive movement.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in electoral field program management, superb interpersonal skills, planning and decision making, passion for direct voter contact and canvassing, and the capacity to build trust with an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse coalition of partner organizations. Position Overview
America Votes is seeking a talented staff or project manager and mid-senior campaign strategist for a full-time position as Ohio Deputy State Director. The Deputy State Director will take a strategic, collaborative, and flexible approach to their work with the state coalition and the coordination of strategies between state based partner organizations and national partners. The position will have responsibility in supporting the scale-up, direct support, and coordination of canvass operations. They will work with the America Votes team in Ohio and will support advancing team priorities and goals, with direct management responsibilities. Job Purpose
The Access & Instruction Specialist is a permanent, full time staff member of the Access & Instruction Team at the College of Charleston Libraries who works primarily at the Access & Instruction Desk in Addlestone Library. Directly supporting Pillar 1 in the College’s Strategic Plan, this position impacts our students’ College experience and success by providing academic support and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel they belong. Under the direct supervision of the Circulation and Shelving Manager and the direction of the Access Services Coordinator, the Access & Instruction Specialist provides excellent point-of-need access and instruction services (in-person and virtually) to all patrons; works with members of the Access and Instruction Unit to promote the College Libraries’ spaces, resources, and services across multiple channels and platforms to increase student engagement and success; assists with supervising and training student employees; and ensures library systems and facilities are operating as expected.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma and 2 years of library/information services experience or a bachelor’s degree and 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to bend, stoop, and lift material up to 30 pounds. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

The Access & Instruction Specialist is a permanent, full time staff member of the Access & Instruction Team at the College of Charleston Libraries who works primarily at the Access & Instruction Desk in Addlestone Library. Directly supporting Pillar 1 in the College’s Strategic Plan, this position impacts our students’ College experience and success by providing academic support and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel they belong. Minimum Requirements

Position Description
America Votes is seeking a Get Out The Vote Director for a full-time, 2024-cycle position in the following states: AZ, FL, GA, MI, NC, OH, PA, WI. The Get Out The Vote Director plays a key role in the advancement of the progressive movement in the state, including supporting the growth, strategy, and effectiveness of coalition direct voter contact programs. The Get Out The Vote Director will lead the America Votes Coalition partners and their planning and program implementation for the final phase of the 2024 electoral campaign. We seek an individual with a combination of technical and political skills to join the growing team to manage these services and work with state partner groups and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with the ability to forge strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, and a commitment to fostering trust and respect with partner organizations. This position will also support program implementation and reporting across the state coalition, including working directly with America Votes partners and allies in the state to facilitate best practices and the incorporation of research-tested tactics. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electoral field program management, superb interpersonal skills, planning and decision making, passion for coalition work, and the capacity to build trust with an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse coalition of partner organizations. Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead the work related to Get Out the Vote, Early Vote, Vote-by-Mail, Same Day Registration, and related election administration as applicable to the state. Support special projects for the mobilization phase of the work including campus programs, ballot initiatives, and other state-specific campaign projects.
Partner Support : Support coalition partners through the development of campaign plans (electoral, voting rights). This may include providing technical and organizing assistance for individual partner organizations or groups of partners , responding to programmatic requests, and supporting the implementation of winning strategies. Work with the state data director to support data needs of partner programs. Portfolio may include some tools supporting direct voter contact programs.
Support Coalition Management : Work with the state team on tracking and coordination tools to support the implementation of Get Out the Vote programs across tactics and partners. Support and create content for reports and deliver presentations to diverse sets of stakeholders, sometimes on short timelines.
Direct Voter Contact Program Support : Support coalition campaign work on field tactics implementation (like canvassing), including supporting the integration of best practices and universe coverage. Facilitate creative solutions to challenges related to electoral and issue campaigns. Support electoral and advocacy program implementation across partner organizations including script development and program timing and support some partners in using VAN (Voter Activation Network). This work includes planning, implementation and post-program assessment and may include developing systems or updating existing systems to manage the information, advance training, and strengthen the integration of best practices in the work. This work may include voting rights and election administration.
Program Implementation Management : Lead meetings of coalition partners, which may include work groups on election-related topics such as campus programs, ballot initiatives, down ballot programs (congressional, state legislative, etc). Support events of America Votes partners and allies including coalition meetings and trainings. Support program implementation through the voter file and other tools including basic VAN administration and support in using direct voter contact tools.

Qualifications
Required
Ideal candidates will have at least 2 cycles (4 years) of experience in progressive political campaigns, progressive non-profits or similar organizations (with a campaign focus), or similar transferable experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with direct voter contact and canvass operations.
Experience working with underrepresented and/or historically marginalized communities, particularly in electoral or political settings.
Strong sense of ownership and resilience with respect to planning ahead, finding alternative paths when needed, and moving forward after setbacks. Demonstrated a bility to move people to action and hold them accountable with and without formal authority.
At least one cycle (minimum of 12 months) of experience with campaign field operations including canvass operations and script writing. Familiarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network) or similar systems.
Demonstrated ability to build consensus, negotiate, and strategically disagree within a highly collaborative work environment; ability to be respected by progressive stakeholders, and to be able to practice confidentiality, discretion and legal compliance in the work.
Familiarity with early vote, vote by mail, and voter mobilization programs. Understanding of common voter contact methods like canvass, mail, and phone programs and applying those to persuasion and mobilization efforts, including early vote.
Ability to work independently and to drive and manage own workload; ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively by making and meeting team goals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Drive with emphasis on using Excel, Powerpoint, Google Slides and Google Sheets. Must have the ability to manage a high volume of campaign data as well as create informational decks/slideshows.
Ability to travel within the state (as needed); ability to work irregular campaign style hours, especially during the peak months of the electoral cycle. Attend and lead meetings in person one-on-one, in small groups, and in large coalition meeting settings.
Candidates should have a spirit of service and curiosity, along with a diplomatic approach to problem-solving in work with outside partners and while working independently or on a team.

Ideal candidates will have experience with data and targeting, using data to inform organizing and electoral campaign strategies. Familiarity with demographic specific programs like young voter/campus programs a plus.
Experience using voter contact tools like Get Thru or Scale to Win. Familiarity with digital tools. High level of competency with google sheets and manipulating a large volume of data.
Experience or training in race equity/anti-racist frameworks; a general understanding of how power. intersects with gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and class in organizing and electoral settings.
Compensation
The minimum salary for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 ($6,667 - 7,083/month) with a potential election year bonus, based on performance and the state's election landscape.

The Get Out The Vote Director plays a key role in the advancement of the progressive movement in the state, including supporting the growth, strategy, and effectiveness of coalition direct voter contact programs. The Get Out The Vote Director will lead the America Votes Coalition partners and their planning and program implementation for the final phase of the 2024 electoral campaign. We seek an individual with a combination of technical and political skills to join the growing team to manage these services and work with state partner groups and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with the ability to forge strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, and a commitment to fostering trust and respect with partner organizations. Position Description
America Votes is currently seeking a Development & Grants Assistant to join our diverse and high performing Development & Grants team. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development & Grants Assistant serves as the backbone of department operations by ensuring all administrative processes are in place to execute the department's work. This includes, working closely with other departments to ensure compliance needs are met, assisting with contribution tracking and acknowledgement, supporting donor communication needs, and other related projects as assigned. This is a temporary position, ending on March 31, 2025.
Limited Travel is required for this position.
Location
This position is based in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Support Grants Manager in working with finance and legal teams to ensure grantees have submitted necessary documentation for tracking.
Provide additional support on tracking and summarizing grantee reporting for internal and external communications.
Coordinate with the political department and state staff to gather information for regular funder updates on overall program execution.
Support the productions of various donor communications including research, content collection, copy-editing, etc.
Support the executing of in-person and virtual donor briefings (including slide administration and management).
Provide dedicated administrative support for fundraising principals, to include assistance with scheduling, meeting prep, and other logistical needs.
Manage the EveryAction platform, covering all data entry and system maintenance.
Maintain all contribution related information including invoices and contribution instructions.
Manage a weekly "state highlights" report summarizing key developments from target states.
Support the logistics of State Summit sponsorships deliverable collection and provide additional assistance as needed.
Attend fundraising events, meetings, and gatherings as needed.
Provide additional support as needed for dedicated organizational projects that impact department work.
Qualifications
Has experience in a finance or data role in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Extremely detail- and deadline-oriented
Familiarity with databases and fundraising management tools (EveryAction experience preferred)
Solid problem-solving and communication skills - both verbal and written.
Experience managing sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Ability to manage up and across teams
Basic knowledge of c3/c4/PAC designations
Proficiency in Google suite.
Compensation
The salary for this position will be between $53,000 and $58,000 and depend upon the applicant's experience.
