Kitchen Staff who work an average of 40 hours/week during the camp season may* have access to low cost onsite shared housing, as available and allowed per GSCO policies.
Head Cook/Chef General Duties: The Camp Cook/Chef is responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, providing meals for campers and staff during summer camp program. This includes preparing meals for special diets, cleaning and organizing kitchen and appliances, general cleaning, and maintaining meal records. A primary function of this, and every other job at Sky High Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
Prepare meals for 175 +/- people per meal.
Prepares all meals on time as scheduled or assigned.
Ensures special food requirements for both campers and staff, e.g., food allergies, gluten-free and vegetarian diets are managed with utmost importance for 100% accuracy.
Responsible for ensuring food items are readily available for staff on weekends.
Partners with administrative staff to plan, prepare, and deliver timely and accurate pack-out and travel camp food.
Works with Program Director to create prep sheets for special event orders.
Check menus daily for any required advance preparation; Prepare and assign production and prep work for Prep/Assistant Cooks to complete.
Observe methods of food preparation, cooking, and sizes of portions to ensure food is adequately prepared.
Ensure proper cooking methods and recipes are followed.
Perform quality audits and specs checks, including temp checks on food items and dish machines.
Ensures that CDPHE Food Regulations are being followed by all kitchen staff; Performs daily temperature checks for coolers and products.
Assists with breakdown of workstation and completion of closing duties ensuring all Prep/Assistant Cooks' and Dishwashers' assignments are completed before they sign out.
"Head Cook/Chef", as designated by Program Director, shall be responsible for:
Menu planning, recipe creation, and ensures overall functionality of the kitchen.
May assist in food ordering as directed by Program Director.
Partner with Program Director to make recipe or menu changes so that foods will be utilized before expiration date to eliminate waste as much as possible.
Partner with Program Director to reward and recognize staff for individual and team success.
Performs check in of all incoming food supply orders (verifies amount ordered vs invoice amount, ensures it is properly stored and rotated).
Contribute as a leader of the department by supervising Prep/Assistant Cook and Dishwashing staff on improving operational efficiencies as needed.
Ensure and promote the sanitary integrity of the facility, equipment, and food products.
Maintains kitchen cleanliness and proper food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements and departmental procedures.
Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
Regularly sanitizes kitchen surfaces throughout the day; Assists in daily deep cleaning of specific areas in the kitchen, e.g., floors, counters, overs, stoves, fridges, etc.
Washes hands frequently while working in the kitchen and in accordance with CDPHE health regulations.
Keeps stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean; Ensures that food supplies are rotated, and all perishables are labeled, dated and stored properly.
Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
Assists Kitchen Manager in inventory requests, as requested.
Reports any accidents or injuries to manager/director.
Respects the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and girls.
Lives by the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Minimum of six months experience in an industrial kitchen, required.
Prior experience cooking and serving 175 +/- people per day, required.
Documented experience in meal preparation for those with restricted diets and/or food allergies, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
Proficient understanding of nutrition guidelines, food handling techniques, preparation (including safe preparation of food for those with restricted diets and allergies) and cooking procedures.

America Votes is currently seeking a Development & Grants Assistant to join our diverse and high performing Development & Grants team. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development & Grants Assistant serves as the backbone of department operations by ensuring all administrative processes are in place to execute the department's work. This includes, working closely with other departments to ensure compliance needs are met, assisting with contribution tracking and acknowledgement, supporting donor communication needs, and other related projects as assigned. Support the productions of various donor communications including research, content collection, copy-editing, etc.
Support the executing of in-person and virtual donor briefings (including slide administration and management).

Manage the EveryAction platform, covering all data entry and system maintenance.

Compensation
The salary for this position will be between $53,000 and $58,000 and depend upon the applicant's experience. Position Summary:
The operations assistant (OA) is the first point of contact for all Hope House Colorado (HHC) Early Learning Center (ELC) guests providing a warm and friendly welcome to our teen moms, families, volunteers and visitors. The OA manages the HHC phone system in an efficient and engaging manner and upholds “HHC’s Excellent Environment” standards. The OA sets the tone for all who come through the doors, ensuring each guest feels like they have found a place to belong. Duties and responsibilities also include office administration, building management support, administrative support and volunteer coordination to ensure efficient operations.

What you will be doing:
Consistent completion of HHC’s Early Learning Center daily operational checklists at the highest level of execution
Coordinate volunteer receptionists; delegate projects and tasks that utilize each volunteer’s strengths; ensure desk coverage when volunteers are unavailable or working away from the desk; and lead volunteer appreciation for front desk volunteers
Diligently manage the sign in/sign out process for all guests and teen moms through the Raptor® visitor management system (Must be comfortable upholding standards and safety protocols and managing tension and occasional conflict)
Manage child approval pick-up list during drop off and pick up time and keep the list updated as necessary
Warmly receive and direct incoming calls, including crisis calls.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Two years of experience, with limited task supervision, emphasizing or including intensive public contact, customer service, interpretation and explanation of regulations and involving general office work processes and use of modern office technology. In those positions requiring typing, the incumbents must, upon entry into the position, be able to type at a rate of no less than 55 words per minute. May be required to possess or obtain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

Job Summary
Plans, coordinates and administers a specific program within a designated department. Assigned programs typically involve heavy administrative components and require a single incumbent to administer. Responsibilities include project/task planning, design, recommendation, implementation and day to day administration of program responsibilities. This position will support the weatherization program and clients to provide energy efficient upgrades to residential buildings. The position will partner with clients and contractors to provide repair and weatherization measures. The position will work in a team with other weatherization professionals and program management to efficiently serve the weatherization needs of low income residents in the Clark County.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Program Assistant positions typically require a job related degree or three to five years of experience related to the specialized area. Depending on area of assignment, a degree may substitute for some or all of the required experience.
Knowledge of: Applicable computer applications/technology, principles and practices of public sector organization and some specifics relating to program operations; planning, scheduling, monitoring and problem solving; research techniques and data analysis; budget tracking, justification and control; application of County state and federal laws and regulation relevant to the program/project area; departmental policies and procedures, trends and practices within the specialized area.
Ability to: Effectively coordinate, work to others; carry out policy directives of management in an effective and timely manner; establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, other governmental jurisdictions, contractors, and other County staff; communicate and express ideas effectively, orally and in writing.
