Job Summary


Our Permit Services Program Manager II is customer-focused.  In this position, you will drive organizational change to better serve our customers. Your department is the first contact with applicants and developers and your staff will assist them with submitting land-use and building permits.

One of your focuses will be to manage and oversee the application requirements, policies, and procedures and collaborate with Development Engineering, Land-Use, and the Building Safety division to ensure a smooth permitting process for our applicants while understanding our stakeholder's needs.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • Five to eight (5-8) years increasingly responsible permitting and customer service experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, land use planning or a related field (degree could substitute for years of experience). The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
  • Five (5) years of experience supervising and developing professional, technical, and administrative staff in a customer front facing environment.
  • Municipal experience required.
  • Intermediate to expert level skill in database management software required.
  • International Code Council (ICC) Certification as a Permit Technician.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CCLMS preferred.
