Investor relations at HPE is responsible for communicating HPE's performance, risks and opportunities to the investment community with the goal of building sustainable shareholder value.  HPE participates in a vast number of markets with a broad set of competitors making the IR a very dynamic environment that requires a broad set of financial, strategic, and communication skills.  Investor Relations partners across many internal HPE organizations to develop effective external messages and acts as a conduit of external information and sentiment back into the broader HPE community.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand HPE’s quarterly financial results in detail from an external perspective

  • Track and manage analyst consensus estimates for aid in developing financial guidance

  • Monitor HPE's stock ownership and trading trends

  • Plan and manage investor road shows, conferences, bus tours and meetings

  • Develop quarterly earnings presentation, press release, scripts, salient points and FAQs

  • Review critical internal and external communications that impact investord

  • Prepare internal briefs on HPE performance, competitor analysis and industry trends

Education and Experience Required:
Typically 6-10 years work experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of research methodology for key business issues.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
  • Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very strong project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Developed leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data.
