The Service Dispatcher coordinates work assignments, ensuring company and customer-generated work orders are dispatched to appropriate field employees timely and accurately. This includes emergency work orders involving reports of gas leaks, gas odors, damaged gas lines, fires, and explosions. Meets company, state utility commission, and federal requirements. Processes and responds to emergency requests and orders. Receives and relays messages among customers, field personnel, and internal departments. Processes and maintains accurate reports and logs. Answers emergency calls, creates emergency orders, and dispatches emergency work to field personnel. Manages notifications of escalated incidents to management and operations personnel. Monitor SCADA System and notify appropriate person of gas system problems. Monitor and adjust pressures as required. May perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
0-2 years' directly-related experience.
Directly Related Experience includes: Education, Retail/Customer Service; Public Safety Services, Field Service Operations, Transportation, and/or Logistics Planning experience.
Skills: Basic math

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree
2+ years experience
Dispatch/Call Center experience
Two-way radio and dispatching equipment/code experience
Typing experience (25 wpm)
Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or more rounds to one full year of qualifications.
