The Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) is currently looking to fill an Enterprise Platforms Services Manager (IT Data Management - Manager) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
We’re looking for an outgoing leader/coach who is passionate about technology, people and delivering an exception customer experience. In this role, you and the team will own Ecology’s “Production” systems environment, driving the development and extension of formal DevOps practices and principles (product validation and acceptance, automation of deployment services, etc.). Additionally, this role has critical responsibility for managing and administering application and service platforms on premise as well as in the cloud. These platforms include the Ecology portion of the M365 Shared tenant and cover tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform. This role currently manages the agency DBA functions but is expected to grow those capabilities to include data analysis, database design and data administration. You will have significant input into decisions affecting the adoption of new technologies and services, and the adoption of infrastructure frameworks such as ITSM/ITIL.
The Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) is the central provider of strategic and tactical support for the use of Information Technology (IT) within Ecology. The mission of ITSO is to create and support useful technology services that adapt for the future and support Ecology's mission.
As the Enterprise Platform Services Manager, your mission will be to contribute to strategic and tactical planning in the areas of systems design, implementation and operations of applications platforms, and cloud-based services. By applying sound judgement, technical expertise, and management practices you will ensure development, implementation, maintenance and optimization of essential systems and processes necessary to fulfill the agency’s mission-critical business goals. Ideaqlly you will share values that align with our agency mission and whose talents can be applied in a large, diverse technology environment. This is a critical management role, whose primary objective is to ensure that Ecology’s technical platforms and services operate and are maintained in a reliable and consistent manner.
Tele-work options for this position: It is expected that this position will be able to tele-work three to four days per week. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.
Option 1:
Nine (9) years (full-time equivalent) of professional experience in one or more of the following IT disciplines: consultation, systems development, systems analysis, database management, technical support troubleshooting, project management, or server management.
Option 2:
An Associate’s degree or higher in an Information Technology program or a closely related field; AND Seven (7) years (full-time equivalent) of professional experience in one or more of the following IT disciplines: consultation, systems development, systems analysis, database management, technical support troubleshooting, project management, or server management.
Option 3:
A Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology program or closely related field; AND five (5) years (fulltime equivalent) of professional experience in one or more of the following IT disciplines: consultation, systems development, systems analysis, data analysis, database management, technical support troubleshooting, project management, or systems administration
