Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated, creative licensed clinical professional to serve in a new position as Child Resiliency Specialist. 

Job Summary:

The Child Resiliency Specialist is a member of the clinical operations leadership team with two primary functions: Child provider and program clinical oversight (40%) and organizational rendering provider support for high quality Person and Family-centered Treatment Plans (60%).  Child provider support includes providing virtual and face-to-face clinical supervision to providers working with families involved in child welfare programming. 

Child clinical program support includes oversighting centralized child welfare program functions such as chart review and consistent quality.  A unique facet of this position is that this licensed provider works directly under the Senior HSPP and serves as a rendering provider who collaborates with the HSPP team, virtually reviews and endorses treatment plans, as well as supports providers in developing quality care plans.

Essential Functions:

Regular and reliable attendance is necessary to perform the following essential functions of the position.  The position is hybrid with a combination of virtual and in office time.

Child Provider and Program Clinical Oversight (40% of the role)- Provide clinical supervision to providers and oversight organization quality program resulting in the organizations delivery of consistent and effective clinical care

  • Provide clinical supervision to assigned Child Providers serving families involved in child welfare services (note: Family Preservation and Department of Child Service standards require providers to have a high frequency of regular clinical supervision; this role assists the organization in meeting this requirement)
  • Child welfare provider clinical chart review to ensure child welfare standards are consistently met
  • Ensure organization level accreditation and quarterly standard performance improvement
  • Attend state level meetings and bring information back to key organizational meetings
  • Lead defined organization meetings to ensure our leaders and providers are unified in their delivery of quality child welfare services

Oversight of Person and Family-centered Treatment Plans (60% of the role)-   Serve as a rendering provider with the primary scope of reviewing Person and Family-centered Treatment Plans, coaching providers in a greater understanding of meaningful treatment planning, and ensuring plans meet quality standards.  Through quality treatment planning and empowering clinical providers, impact a population of people in achieving greater outcomes.

  • Review Treatment Plans and Discharge Summaries, as per regulatory body standards.
  • Coach and assist providers in developing quality plans, including providing feedback when standards are not met as well as positive affirmation for accomplishments
  • Work closely with the HSPP team to ensure consistency and continuity of oversight

Education and/or Experience:  

  1. Licensed Provider (LCSW, LMHC, LCAC, or LMFT) with a Master's degree

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Clinical Skills:  Advanced knowledge of clinical standards, best practices, behavioral health services, and modalities of treatment within the scope of this position and associated with professional licensure; Clinical knowledge related to quality of care for the scope of this position; Knowledge of community mental health services and resources on a local, state and national level; Ability to guide the organization in meeting and exceeding standards; Ability to follow corporate guidelines related to policies and procedures.
