Job Summary:

The Licensed Clinical Team Leader for Crisis Team is a clinical operation leader who provides direct clinical supervision and team oversight to providers on the crisis team.  The team leader is responsible for the teams' quality of clinical care, CCBHC metrics, and program satisfaction.  Additionally, the Licensed Clinical Team Leader plays a critical role in managing the programs' recruitment, retention, and initial program development to establish the new program.

Essential Functions:

Team Oversight and Performance:  Consistent with organizationally defined leadership and management best practices, ensure team oversight and performance in delivering 24/7 mobile crisis services.  Lead the team in achieving successful outcomes.

  • Ensure organizational best practices are implemented and maintained within the team; Enforce organizational policy, procedure, and risk management practices;
  • Provide direct coaching and professional development to providers through one-on-one coaching or during team time together during a structured meeting.
  • Guide employees in meeting organizational financial goals, performance benchmarks and standards, and annual and strategic plan goals.

Program Quality and Performance Improvement:  Within assigned division, lead organizational change management initiatives and ensure the division continually improves outcomes for the people we serve.

  • Monitor the quality of clinical documentation and coach providers on documentation quality improvement. 
  • Participate in the organizationally defined process of assuring quality and improving performance.
  • Disseminate quality and performance improvement information within division, providing learning experiences for employees to continuously grow.

Professional Development and Competency:  Ensure competency and compliance with internal privileging and credentialing of employees within assigned division through organizationally defined systems.

  • Evaluate and provide coaching as related to provider competency and performance.
  • Participate in monthly Team Leader Meeting and Clinical Supervision Professional Development
  • Plan and participate in monthly Performance Review Meetings that include all members of the division for the purpose of performance improvement, recognition, employee involvement and team cohesion.
  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to assigned providerswithin scope of licensure and according to organizational standards.
  • Lead Interdisciplinary Staffing Meetings with team and assist in maintaining the structure of the meeting.

Recruitment and Retention: Recruit, hire, and retain qualified employees.

  • Interview applicants for open positions.
  • Collaborate with other organizational hiring systems to onboard the new employee.
  • Participate in the implementation of organizational and divisional retention plans.

Crisis Hub Development and Management:

  • Oversight the operations of the Hendricks County Crisis Hub including scheduling, oversighting crisis line, and triage of consumer need.
  • Ensuring a smooth transition process is established between shifts.
  • *Serves as member of after hours crisis team
  • May participate in best practice councils, project development, task groups, and other organizationally established program development initiatives, as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:  

  1. Licensed Provider (LCSW, LMHC, LCAC, or LMFT) with a Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Addictions Counseling. [Applicants who are seeking clinical licensure and are close to completing may be considered depending experience in the field of crisis work]
