Communications Assistant

End Citizens United/Let America Vote’s Mission: To fix our democracy by getting big money out of politics and protecting the right to vote. We will work to end our rigged political system by electing reform champions, passing meaningful legislative reforms, and elevating these issues in the national conversation. We will work in partnership with these champions to overturn Citizens United, end the unlimited and undisclosed money in politics, and protect and expand the right to vote.

Position Type: Full-Time Exempt

Job Summary:

End Citizens United/Let America Vote is seeking a Communications Assistant for a fast-paced Communications shop. The Communications Assistant is responsible for assisting in executing the media strategies and administrative needs of the Communications Department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drafting, editing, and sending press releases, op-eds, emails and other written materials
• Maintaining press lists
• Monitoring news clips
• Assisting the Communications Department with administrative and other communications related duties

Qualifications:

• A strong interest in stopping Big Money in politics, electing campaign finance reform champions, and protecting the right to vote
• One cycle or less of campaign, political, or Capitol Hill experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• The ability to multi-task and execute tasks under tight and competing deadlines
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Being a team player and collaborator
