The Director for the Mission Support Organization provides executive-level leadership and oversight to several program areas that provide direction, management, and coordination of administrative and management support services for Reclamation. This includes: Finance and Accounting; Acquisitions and Financial Assistance; Competitive Sourcing; Financial Policy; Business Analysis to include compliance, audit, reporting, and accounting; and Property to include physical space, vehicles, and real property.
Serves as a key advisor to Reclamation's senior leadership in Finance and Accounting, Acquisitions and Financial Assistance, Competitive Sourcing, Financial Policy, Business Analysis, Property and Office Services, and is officially recognized as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
Maintains contact and coordinates activities, and may chair, finance, financial assistance, and acquisition related groups within the Bureau. Provide overall direction of financial management and travel policies, coordination and management of quarterly and annual financial reporting to the Department of Treasury and Office of Management and Budget.
Manages the annual Chief Financial Officer audit and conducts audit follow-up, financial risk management and internal controls in the Bureau.
Directs acquisition and financial assistance policies in Reclamation. Ensures current policies are in place, acquisition professionals are certified and trained, and oversees the development and implementation of acquisition improvements.
Oversees and coordinates Reclamation policies and procedures for the management of real and personal property, adherence to Federal policies relating to the management of assets and reporting.

Reclamation is also the second largest producer of hydroelectric power in the United States. Reclamation’s 53 powerplants annually provide more than 40 billion kilowatt hours generating nearly a billion dollars in power revenues and produce enough electricity to serve 3.5 million homes.
Reclamation has constructed more than 600 dams and reservoirs including the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River and Grand Coulee on the Columbia River.
