Mental Health Registered Nurse (Code Blue Nurse) - Oregon State Hospital Salem Campus
Job Description:
The Oregon State Hospital, a division of the Oregon Health Authority, has a fantastic opportunity for REGISTERED NURSES to join an excellent team working to help people recover from their illness and return to their lives in the community.
What you will do!
The Code Blue Nurse Educator develops, coordinates, and implements a variety of medical and behavioral emergency trainings and drill opportunities for the needs of the Oregon State Hospital. This position coordinates with the other clinical and non-clinical departments to assess their needs and develop the training that is most appropriate for the staff working in those departments under the direction of the Director of The SEED Department. The training developed and delivered will be tailored to the staff population via an on-going needs assessment and in collaboration with the various department heads. Education will be provided upon hire and will also be delivered on a cadenced basis for maintenance and continuous improvement to improve outcomes in a medical or behavioral emergency. This position will maintain all emergency medical equipment within the medical emergency carts throughout the hospital and supports all training endeavors of the department, including Code Blue, Safe together, and other initiatives as needed.

This posting will be used to fill 2 permanent positions located in Salem, OR (2600 Center St. NE). These positions are represented by AFSCME.
Shift Information:
6:30am-5:00pm working Sunday through Wednesday (Thu/Fri/Sat days off).
11:30am-10:00pm working Wednesday through Saturday (Sun/Mon/Tue days off).
*Note: this position will receive a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increase of 6.55% which is not reflected in the salary listed in this posting. The effective date of the increase is January 1, 2025 for February 1, 2025 paychecks.
