Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. The hours of work are typically 12 hours per day. Job Description Responsible for equipment monitoring, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all mechanical systems to improve and sustain equipment reliability. Basic & Preferred Qualifications Required Skills 1+ years of Predictive Maintenance Experience OR 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance Experience. Performs and documents line checks, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance including the lubrication and inspection of equipment to sustain equipment reliability. Documentation may include but is not limited to SAP, Belt Tracking form, FM form, BDE card, etc. Proficient in using the plant Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to write Notifications, complete and enter Work Orders, complete PM routes, and enter equipment history. Perform thermal imaging scans of running equipment and report findings; amp-draw surveys of running equipment and report findings; laser alignment of all critical equipment as needed and train other craft personnel in the use of the laser alignment equipment; in place balancing of fans using vibration analyzer as needed; ultrasonic surveys in the plant looking for air leaks, bearing faults and proper lubrication. Has successfully passed the advancement test for Maintenance Technician. Possess ISO Cat I or equivalent vibration analyst certification with ability to obtain next certification level. Possess Infrared (IR) and UE certifications or equivalent experience or training. If lacking the required certification, has a signed agreement with management on a time frame to successfully obtain the required certification and retain the awarded position. Repair or assist in repairs in other areas of the plant as instructed by the Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Team Leader, Team Leader Production, or Plant Management. Must be willing to continue his / her education to achieve a licensed journeyman electrician level. Must participate in the electrical apprentice program and work towards the journeyman electrical license. Demonstrates an ability to draw an electrical schematic of basic plant electrical systems.  Should be able to demonstrate the ability to draw basic ladder logic. Should be able to perform basic electrical construction tasks such as; determine wire needs, size wire and conduit, layout conduit run, install conduit run, terminate feed and distribution ends of the wire run, and initialize the circuit. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and optimize time to complete all tasks that are assigned. Journeyman Electrician License is strongly preferred. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a compressor station, including starting and stopping engines, ensuring that compressor units and associated equipment are operated safely and properly.  Monitors and records operating data including pressures, temperatures, speeds, flow rates, lubricant and coolant levels, etc.  Changes compressor loading according to loading diagrams and operating schedules.  Performs maintenance on engines and compressors including routine service, tune-ups, oil changes, valve adjustments, etc.   Maintaining compressor valves, rod packing, and lubricators.  Maintaining station air compressors, emergency generator, UPS system, and storage batteries.  Changing separator filters, compressor valves, spark plugs, fuel valves, and other miscellaneous parts.  Makes emergency repairs.  Recognizes unusual noises or other abnormal operating conditions and takes corrective action to minimize the risk of failure.  Operates the valves that control the flow of gas in and out of the compressor station.  Must be able to ensure the proper handling of valves to avoid over pressuring of a station piping.  Makes major repairs and overhauls on equipment, maintains and adjusts instrumentation and controls.  Works with heavy tools and equipment (i.e. some tools weigh over 90 pounds).  Installs, removes, repairs, adjusts, inspects, tests and calibrates measuring and regulating equipment.  Lubricate, repair and rebuild valves and valve operators.  Inspect, maintain and perform minor repairs of fire extinguishers and fire-fighting equipment including emergency air packs and other life saving gear.  Control pressure in conjunction with the shutdown, tie-in and bypass of gas piping systems.  Prepares and maintains necessary paperwork in the performance of assigned job duties and as assigned within the Compressor Operator B classifications and lower classifications.
