Position Title : Development Director

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Development Director to implement our development plan. This is a key role in helping to grow the organization. The successful candidate will be analytical and creative, collaborate well with a passionate and fun staff, and coordinate and manage multiple projects. Essential Functions: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Development Director (DD) will provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, evaluation, integration, and administration development department. The DD will lead a team of development professionals in achieving the organization’s revenue goals, increasing income, and educating and engaging more individuals and institutions in the to advance the organization’s mission. The DD will be part of a skilled team of professionals working to raise at least $5 million annually. The DD manages a multi-faceted fundraising program; central to this role will be prioritizing personal solicitation of major donors, events, online and direct marketing, and foundation fundraising.
Duties:
Work closely with the Development Team to establish fundraising goals, set strategic priorities, advise on program development, and develop and meet annual budget
Manage and build a growing team of development professionals, provide on-going guidance, direction, and motivation, hire team members and provide oversight to consultants as needed, delegate appropriately and ensure strong internal communication and coordination, and evaluate performance and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth
Work closely with the Boards of Directors to engage them more deeply in the fundraising process and to help cultivate a strong relationship between board members and the organization
Help track cultivation and prospecting activity and ensure the execution of action items
Solicit contributions from major individual donors and steward long-term relationships with donors
Develop relationships with prospective individual and foundation donors to increase funding
Research prospective institutional and individual funders
Work with internal partners to draft and edit proposals and reports
Track proposal and reporting deadlines, ensure that all submitted materials are accurate and comply with any funder requirements
Manage all grant activity in a central database and deliver regular reports to the Executive Director
Serve as the point person for management and maintenance of funders database and ensure efficient system utilization across all units
Oversee the implementation of ongoing programs to improve the renewal rates of existing annual donors, creatively use events to upgrade donors and maintain a diversity of revenue
Work with the VP of Operations to develop annual budgets and income projections
Stay abreast of political and philanthropic trends and ensure that Board and staff are informed of changes in legislation and other trends and initiatives that might impact giving
Competencies:

Well-developed writing, interpersonal and organizational skills and experience managing staff
Commitment to organization’s mission and understanding of current policy issues and political landscape
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with, and quickly gain the respect and support of, various constituencies, including a visible chief executive committed to raising money, established development management team, active board members, other senior leadership, program directors and donors.
Experience as an effective communicator who is articulate and persuasive in both the spoken and written word; must be adept at crafting materials and making presentations to a variety of audiences

Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000/year
Commensurate according to years of experience. All employees must meet a 6-month probationary period. Continuation of this position after one year is dependent on the successful candidate meeting jointly determined performance goals.

The Department of Community Justice (DCJ) is recognized as a national leader in both adult and juvenile community justice. DCJ routinely consults and makes use of evidence-based practices in our program and policy development. Clinical Direction and Oversight for Assessment & Evaluation Behavioral Residential Program
Provide oversight of clinical operations of the program.

Lead in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices for improved outcomes.
Monitors employee compliance with policy and procedure and keeps JSD Director advised of staff issues.
Set goals and objectives for the unit in alignment with the Department’s overall mission and vision.
Continuously review and evaluate the quality of services provided by individual work teams.
Provide leadership, strategy, and advice, driving the programmatic work of the Restorative Practices team.
The Restorative Practices team includes the Hands of Wonder garden, Detention restorative practice coordinator, and Court and Community Services restorative practice coordinator.
The programmatic work includes developing and implementing restorative practice training programs, designing and facilitating, restorative circles or meetings, creating policies and procedures for restorative approaches, evaluating the effectiveness of restorative interventions, and collaborating with other internal and external stakeholders to promote restorative practices.
Provide leadership for interagency collaborations that will improve policies and procedures to better youth and families impacted by the Juvenile Justice system.
Research evidence based practices related to subject matter expertise, including topics on trauma, cultural responsivity, and reducing overrepresentation of marginalized populations in the Juvenile Justice system.

The Department of Community Justice (DCJ) is recognized as a national leader in both adult and juvenile community justice. DCJ routinely consults and makes use of evidence-based practices in our program and policy development. The Department's commitment to data-informed decision-making has led DCJ to make smart investments of taxpayer dollars in supervision, sanctions, and services for the county's highest risk and highest need justice-involved individuals. DCJ makes long-term investments in its employees through the provision of education and training. The Department shares information with community members, partners, and staff to keep communities safe by preventing and reducing crime and routinely evaluating which local policies support best practices. DCJ's Juvenile Services Division operates the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility and is responsible for youth on formal and informal community supervision.

Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. Position Overview
America Votes is seeking a talented staff or project manager and mid-senior campaign strategist for a full-time position as Ohio Deputy State Director. The Deputy State Director will take a strategic, collaborative, and flexible approach to their work with the state coalition and the coordination of strategies between state based partner organizations and national partners. Project Management: Support the state director in implementing America Votes' organizational goals. Support team creation of work plans and team benchmarks for success. Manage special projects to deliver on team goals, both internal and external.
Partner Campaign Support: Advocate for partner organizations and elevate quality programs in the state, assist organizations in identifying potential resources, and move resources to partner groups whenever possible. Qualifications Required
Ideal candidates will have a minimum 5+ years experience in progressive political campaigns with at least 1 cycle of statewide experience, or similar transferable experience and three years' project management or staff management experience, including a track record of fostering a collaborative environment and consistent feedback.

Position Description
America Votes is seeking a well-organized self-starter for a full-time position as Data Director. The Data Director plays a key role in the supporting campaign strategy and direct voter contact programs for the progressive movement. America Votes offers its diverse set of progressive partners a range of voter file, data, and targeting services. We seek a service oriented individual with a combination of technical and political skills for this work. This position is ideal for someone who is ready for a mid-level role in a campaign environment and has a passion for helping others do their best work, and is excited about the details and tools that power direct voter contact programs. This position reports directly to the Ohio State Director.
Location

Responsibilities
Project Management: Support the state director in implementing America Votes' organizational goals, including REI goals. Participate in team creation of work plans and team benchmarks for success. Manage special projects to deliver on team goals.
Voter File Management and Maintenance: Manage voter file access for AV partner organizations and their consultants. This includes administration and security, training end-users, and providing technical assistance as needed. Position Description
America Votes is seeking a well-organized self-starter for a full-time position as Data Director. The Data Director plays a key role in the supporting campaign strategy and direct voter contact programs for the progressive movement. America Votes offers its diverse set of progressive partners a range of voter file, data, and targeting services. The Job
We are seeking an Individual Giving Manager with 3-5 years of experience in a smiliar role to take the lead on defining and executing the Tor Project's strategic approach to acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Tor donors who give less than $1,000 annually. This role reports to the Director of Fundraising and collaborates with the Fundraising Coordinator.
The Tor Project's approach to fundraising doesn't use privacy-invading tactics. We don't track whether or not donors have clicked on an email, a link, or a button; we don't buy or sell donor lists; we don't use invasive wealth assessment tools; and we aim to minimize the amount of information we collect during the donation process. The Individual Giving Manager must be able to prioritize donor privacy when conducting their duties and responsibilities.
Duties & responsibilities
Take ownership of the Tor Project's annual and monthly giving strategies with the primary goal of increasing small-dollar donor retention
Design and implement structures, processes, and policies required to execute these strategies
Create and maintain high-quality documentation about these structures, processes, and policies
Optimize Tor's open source, privacy-first CRM (CiviCRM) to build donor engagement using thoughtful automation and drip messaging
Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to design and execute time-bound campaigns, including Tor's annual year-end fundraising campaign
Monitor and analyze progress towards goals and use this analysis to present suggestions for improvement
Contribute to short and long-term fundraising team planning and evaluation of strategic efforts
Represent the Tor Project in-person, at virtual events, and with a variety of external stakeholders

The Job
We are seeking an Individual Giving Manager with 3-5 years of experience in a smiliar role to take the lead on defining and executing the Tor Project's strategic approach to acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Tor donors who give less than $1,000 annually. This role reports to the Director of Fundraising and collaborates with the Fundraising Coordinator.
The Tor Project's approach to fundraising doesn't use privacy-invading tactics. We don't track whether or not donors have clicked on an email, a link, or a button; we don't buy or sell donor lists; we don't use invasive wealth assessment tools; and we aim to minimize the amount of information we collect during the donation process. The Individual Giving Manager must be able to prioritize donor privacy when conducting their duties and responsibilities.
Duties & responsibilities
Take ownership of the Tor Project's annual and monthly giving strategies with the primary goal of increasing small-dollar donor retention
Design and implement structures, processes, and policies required to execute these strategies
Create and maintain high-quality documentation about these structures, processes, and policies
Optimize Tor's open source, privacy-first CRM (CiviCRM) to build donor engagement using thoughtful automation and drip messaging
Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to design and execute time-bound campaigns, including Tor's annual year-end fundraising campaign
Monitor and analyze progress towards goals and use this analysis to present suggestions for improvement
Contribute to short and long-term fundraising team planning and evaluation of strategic efforts

Strong project management and organizational skills
Three years or more of experience in public health or a health-related field, to include health care administration, provision of health care or supportive services, outreach services, social work, or enabling services
Strong foundation in public health principles and methods
Experience working with under-resourced populations served by health centers, including BIPOC communities, farmworkers, individuals experiencing homelessness, immigrants, rural populations, low-income populations, older adults, and others
Experience in client management preferred

America Votes Ohio is seeking a well-organized self-starter for a full-time position as Data Director. The Ohio Data Director plays a key role in the supporting campaign strategy and direct voter contact programs for the progressive movement. America Votes Ohio offers its diverse set of progressive partners a range of voter file, data, and targeting services. We seek a service oriented individual with a combination of technical and political skills for this work. This position is ideal for someone who is ready for a mid-level role in a campaign environment and has a passion for helping others do their best work, and is excited about the details and tools that power direct voter contact programs. This position reports directly to the Ohio State Director.

This position is based in Columbus, Ohio and may require travel around the state. Other Ohio locations may be considered.
Responsibilities
Project Management: Support the state director in implementing America Votes' organizational goals, including REI goals. Participate in team creation of work plans and team benchmarks for success. Manage special projects to deliver on team goals.
Voter File Management and Maintenance: Manage voter file access for AV partner organizations and their consultants. This includes administration and security, training end-users, and providing technical assistance as needed. Work with staff, partners, vendors, consultants, and others for the acquisition, enhancement, manipulation, and management of voter and member data.
Management of Data Tools: Lead partner and organizational VAN and campaign data trainings. This includes identifying the various training needs, creating the necessary training materials, and leading the presentations. Provide support, including training and troubleshooting, for the implementation of various campaign tools
Partner Support and Service: Work with partner organizations using the voter file and other technologies to support, enhance, and execute programs. This includes assisting partners in employing program implementation best practices as well as converting technical data to actionable issue advocacy and electoral campaign recommendations.
Coalition Support and Service: Responsible for coalition alignment on data and targeting which may include participating and leading various work groups or other meetings. Responsible for sharing data and tactic best practices during coalition meetings. Work with staff and partner groups to ensure that political and voter contact programs are maximizing shared voter file, targeting, and other data resources. This includes supporting staff and partner groups to develop campaign plans. support coalition partners through the development of campaign plans (electoral, redistricting, voting rights, and issue campaigns), providing technical assistance, responding to programmatic requests and participating actively in long-range strategic planning for the Colorado progressive movement. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Business Affairs/ CFO of the College of Charleston, the Vice President for Facilities Management leads and directs safe, effective and sustainable management of the engineering and maintenance operations of 158 College buildings, many with historical significance. Provides expert leadership and vision to Maintenance and Skilled Trades Managers, Facilities Planning, Capital Projects, Director of Environmental Health and Safety, Campus Planning and Space Utilization Manager, Utility Services, and the Center for Sustainable Development. Ensures the safety, upkeep and regulatory compliance of all College physical facilities – approximately 3.7 million square feet in the heart of downtown Charleston. In addition to the main campus, Grice Marine Lab, Stono Preserve, and the Patriot’s Point sports facility are maintained by Facilities Management. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Business Affairs/ CFO of the College of Charleston, the Vice President for Facilities Management leads and directs safe, effective and sustainable management of the engineering and maintenance operations of 158 College buildings, many with historical significance. Provides expert leadership and vision to Maintenance and Skilled Trades Managers, Facilities Planning, Capital Projects, Director of Environmental Health and Safety, Campus Planning and Space Utilization Manager, Utility Services, and the Center for Sustainable Development. Ensures the safety, upkeep and regulatory compliance of all College physical facilities – approximately 3.7 million square feet in the heart of downtown Charleston. In addition to the main campus, Grice Marine Lab, Stono Preserve, and the Patriot’s Point sports facility are maintained by Facilities Management. Provides leadership and direction in all aspects of administering a strong program of communicating with the campus community that emphasizes customer service and client involvement. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related experience which should include experience in managing comprehensive facilities and maintenance organization to include construction management and campus master planning.
