Job Purpose
Contributes to the creation of a positive on campus residential experience by functioning as a front-line customer service professional for Campus Housing. Performs a diverse range of administrative duties with a high level of independence and accountability using multiple enterprise systems. Assists with the coordination of the student housing and assignment processes according to institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Coordinates the move-in/out appointment and the room condition reporting processes in StarRez and assists in managing the room change and contract cancellation request process.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma and a minimum of two years directly related customer service and administrative experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred and may be substituted for related work experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. Experience with college/university customer service is preferred. Must be proficient working with Microsoft Office Suite software. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Exceptional customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be well organized, personable and detail-oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of (StarRez) campus housing and meal plan system, (AiM) facilities management system, or Let’s Talk (customer engagement) system a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively manage and facilitate work with diverse individuals and organizations; ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with both internal and external colleagues. Ability to work both independently and as part of a professional decision-making team. Ability to make decisions and resolve problems. Ability to understand, interpret and explain policies and procedures in an engaging manner. Ability to maintain a courteous demeanor under stressful circumstances. Ability to learn, master and adapt quickly to new technology and software. Familiarity with FERPA a plus.

This position may be required to work a flexible schedule, with occasional evening and weekend hours. Must be able to navigate an urban campus and historic buildings that do not have elevators and lift 25 pounds.

Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen The Central Region Director’s Office within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Receptionist (Office Assistant 3) position. This position will be located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA . Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. In this role, you will serve as the receptionist and first point of contact for the Central Region Office (CRO). You’ll work with Ecology’s ten environmental programs, private stakeholders, and a variety of government agencies. You will direct calls, visitors, and staff; conduct records management, facility management, data entry, State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) routing, distributing and processing mail/packages and serve as backup for the Customer Service Specialist 2 (Fleet Coordinator). You will also be the first point of contact for incidents that require documenting pertinent information and transferring to the Environmental Report Tracking System (ERTS) Coordinator for follow up. This position embodies the One-Ecology philosophy, requires a high degree of professionalism, ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and able to communicate in both English and Spanish. Duties
What makes this role unique?
As our first point of contact, you will manage the front lobby area and our main Ecology phone line, responding to general inquiries from the public in both English and Spanish, government agencies and staff, both in person and over the phone so you will need to be able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of professionalism. You will engage with Ecology’s ten environmental programs and make determinations on directing inquiries. You’ll be responsible for coordinating emergency personnel (i.e. fire, police and medical) that come to the building in response to an emergency, serving as the first line of security for the Central Region Office. What you will do:
Use a multi-functional telephone with five incoming lines.
Process outgoing and incoming mail.
Direct customers to appropriate staff for assistance, handling multiple forms of communication simultaneously, and providing courteous customer service.
Use agency standard computer and computer software to:
Create, maintain, and print documents.
Access information on the web page.
Communicate through electronic mail.
Access the calendar and schedule time.
Schedule conference rooms.
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with co-workers, agency staff, private sector and other government agencies. Maintain effective working relationships.
Participate in group processes and on teams.
Provide positive, accurate and pleasant customer service to external clients.
Take accurate messages and forward messages to the appropriate personnel.
Perform clerical support duties including but not limited to creating emails, typing letters, making copies, and scheduling meetings for the Region’s Business Administrator and other staff.
Research and produce copies of well logs for customers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. This is a full time, permanent position. The salary for this position is competitive for the small to medium non-profits, ranging from $85,000-$92,000 USD depending on experience. Assist in the construction, maintenance and restoration of hiking trails, footpaths, footbridges, parking areas and curbs
Assist in painting buildings and other structures using brushes, rollers and spray equipment, properly clean tools and dispose of cleaning solutions
Assist in the maintenance and repair of park utilities, including water, sewer and electric systems
Assist in the maintenance and repair of building plumbing, including: unclogging toilets and sinks, changing faucet washers, stopping pipe leaks
Assist in the maintenance, repair or construction of building structural elements, including walls, floors, ceilings, partitions and roofs using use hand and power carpentry tools as directed
Visitor Services:
Accept payment for camping, day-use parking and miscellaneous sales items (firewood, ice, etc.); prepare reports and make bank cash drops
Seek voluntary visitor compliance with park area rules and regulations
Provide information about local attractions and Oregon Parks
Assist during visitor related emergencies and prepare related reports
Resource Interpretation:
Assist in assembling materials and resources for the development of interpretive presentations, and present interpretive presentation
Minimum Qualifications:

What you will do:
As Park Ranger Supervisor at Cape Lookout State Park , provide direct, day-to-day supervision of paid permanent, seasonal and temporary employees and volunteer staff in the protection of state park lands, natural and cultural resources, and in the maintenance, operation and repair of state park structures, facilities, equipment and utility systems as an assistant to a Park Manager 2 in the largest OPRD management units, or semi-independently in the smallest of OPRD’s management units.
Minimum Qualifications:
(a) Five (5) years of visitor services experience (e.g. rule enforcement; resource interpretation; special events and activities; etc.) AND/OR park maintenance experience (e.g., construction trades, landscaping); AND/OR natural resource technician experience (e.g.: forestry, fish & wildlife).
