Job Purpose: The University of Wyoming, a Division I member of the NCAA and a member of the Mountain West Conference (MWC), has a full-time, fully benefited position for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Primary sports coverage would be dependent on applicant experience and institutional need as assigned by the Directors of Sports Medicine. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards and exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, MWC, University and departmental rules regulations. Assists with the collection and filing of insurance claims. • Follows the policies and procedures for the athletic training staff and facilities as established by the Director of Sports Medicine and appropriate team physicians. • Maintains CPR/AED/First Aid certifications and participates in continuing education programs as required to maintain certification through NATA. • Provides the Head Coach of assigned team sports with injury reports regarding the status of injured student-athletes. This report shall be submitted to the Head Coach via an established schedule (e.g., daily, weekly, etc.). • Assists the Co-Directors of Sports Medicine, as directed, with the Substance Abuse Program. • Maintains a thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and • NCAA rules and regulations. • Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed. Minimum Qualifications: • A Master’s degree in athletic training, health science, or related field required. Director of Development Job Description   Basic Function   Responsible for development activities and solicitations that generate philanthropic support for Wyoming Athletics and the Cowboy Joe Club.   Duties and Responsibilities Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donations and Cowboy Joe Club memberships. Manages the CJC Golf Series which hosts over 1,000 participants over 10+ events to generate support toward and increased engagement with Wyoming Athletics. Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects with the intent of identifying, cultivating, and growing donor relationships. Conducts in person visits and phone calls with donors and prospects to foster increased involvement, while furthering relationships which lead to philanthropic gifts. Serves as a CJC advocate in the community. Travels to and generates support in assigned areas. Coordinates all solicitation, cultivation, stewardship, and donor relations, including fund drives in designated counties and states. Responsible for fundraising and visit goals associated with increasing donors and dollars in support of Wyoming Athletics. Assists in planning and organization of all special events including Cowboy Joe Club Annual Auction, away and home game hospitalities. Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Assistant Equipment Manager - Olympic Job Description Job Purpose: Assist in supervision and duties with assigned sports and departments in support of equipment department functions including purchasing, issuance, and inventory of athletic equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with coaches and staff to proactively and effectively address the equipment needs of assigned intercollegiate athletic programs and departments, including purchasing, receiving, issuing, returns, maintenance, and repairs of equipment. Basic Function Assists with the day-to-day operations of the University of Wyoming’s Sports Medicine Department. Assist all Sports Medicine personnel as needed/required including, but not limited to, providing operational support for the Medical Director/Primary Care Physician. Coordinates the Department's fleet operations for transportation of equipment for the football program. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Sports Medicine department for a successful DI (FBS) athletic program. Coordinating the student-athlete drug-testing program; and Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics/Designee.   The successful candidate will coordinate the care for approximately 400 student-athletes and serve as the primary athletic trainer for men’s and women’s cross country or men’s and women’s golf. The projected start date for this position is July 1, 2024. The position will remain open until filled. Basic Function Responsible for premium seating and assisting with all activities of athletics development/ the Cowboy Joe Club.   Duties and Responsibilities Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards annual fund donations and CJC memberships. Responsible for the achievement of fundraising goals/objectives through premium seating and gifts made to obtain premium seats Executes a year-round strategic plan for football premium seating, including Wildcatter and future west side club area. Works closely with the Wyoming Ticket Office and Comptroller, External Operations to manage inventory and to track payments Uses current and generates new leads for premium ticket sales and to solicit donations. Builds a personal client base and manages wait lists for premium seating Manages gameday operations of Wildcatter Stadium Club & Suites. Provides superior customer service to clients and donors throughout the season Manages courtside seating for men’s and women’s basketball Manages the Seatback Program including sales, coordination of installation and removal Assists with donor game day parking for football and basketball and priority point allocation of parking Assists in the coordination of all fundraising activities including Golf Series and Annual Auction Serves as a CJC advocate in the community. Basic Function Responsible for providing academic and vocational advising services to a specific segment of student-athletes in the department of athletics. Basic Function   The University of Wyoming Athletics Department is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Social Media/Communication Coordinator. The Social Media/Communication Coordinator will be responsible for publicizing assigned sports within the University of Wyoming Athletics Department via Social media and traditional communication duties.   Duties and Responsibilities   Specific duties the Social Media/Communications Coordinator will be responsible for will include creating content to tell the stories of student-athletes and coaches of the specific sports teams the coordinator is assigned to work with.  That content will include: managing content creation and the day management of assigned social media accounts, collaboration with creative video and graphic design departments to provide social media content, website content, printed materials and The Social Media/Communications Coordinator will be responsible for arranging all interviews with media outlets, UW student-athletes and coaches for assigned sports.  Game-day management duties for assigned sports will also be the responsibility of the Social Media/Communications Coordinator.  The Social Media/Communications Coordinator may be asked to assist other media relations office staff members and other UW Athletics Staff members in helping complete the overall mission of promoting UW Athletics and in successfully hosting UW Athletics events.   The Social Media/Communication Coordinator will work together with the Associate Athletics Director for Communications, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Operations, Manager of Digital Strategy and other Communications Coordinators in publicizing the overall athletics department.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Flexibility and willingness to work weekend and evening events is expected of all candidates.
