Job Purpose
Serves dual roles as Assistant to the Dean of the School of Business and Director of Budgeting. Directs and coordinates financial planning and resource allocation for the School’s various operating budgets (approximately 100+). Assists the Dean in routine tasks and other projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience in office, business &/or fiscal management. Preferred experience in an academic setting. Accounting experience required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Job Purpose
Serves dual roles as Assistant to the Dean of the School of Business and Director of Budgeting. Directs and coordinates financial planning and resource allocation for the School’s various operating budgets (approximately 100+). Assists the Dean in routine tasks and other projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience in office, business &/or fiscal management. Preferred experience in an academic setting. Accounting experience required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess business management skills involving complex budget planning/maintenance, procurement processes, and inventory control. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is critical. Requires excellent organizational, analytical and planning skills to perform well with a highly diverse workload. Must be able to handle stressful situations smoothly. Significant knowledge of office technology (Microsoft Office Suite) and procedures is necessary. Must be able to supervise and train employees and students. Knowledge in federal & state regulations, including FERPA is preferred.

Manages all fiduciary functions for the School of Business (SB) and Dean’s Office. Develops, maintains, and reconciles numerous state and foundation budgets (approximately 18 mil total). Drafts budget and related financial proposals as needed; acts as a liaison for Business Affairs and other offices for reconciling and trouble-shooting financial issues. Approves routine expenditures and advises the Dean regarding major expenditures and the disbursal of funds within the budgets. Oversees purchase card accounts and travel expenses. Develops and designs monthly accountant-level financial statements and reports for the Dean. Develops budget projections and recommendations based on current needs and expenditures, funding trends, and comparative analysis of prior years’ spending. Regularly meets with department chairs and their administrative assistants to provide training sessions dealing with the implementation of various types of budget administration and other related issues.

Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen The Central Region Director’s Office within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Receptionist (Office Assistant 3) position. This position will be located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA . Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. In this role, you will serve as the receptionist and first point of contact for the Central Region Office (CRO). You’ll work with Ecology’s ten environmental programs, private stakeholders, and a variety of government agencies. You will direct calls, visitors, and staff; conduct records management, facility management, data entry, State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) routing, distributing and processing mail/packages and serve as backup for the Customer Service Specialist 2 (Fleet Coordinator). You will also be the first point of contact for incidents that require documenting pertinent information and transferring to the Environmental Report Tracking System (ERTS) Coordinator for follow up. This position embodies the One-Ecology philosophy, requires a high degree of professionalism, ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and able to communicate in both English and Spanish. Duties
What makes this role unique?
As our first point of contact, you will manage the front lobby area and our main Ecology phone line, responding to general inquiries from the public in both English and Spanish, government agencies and staff, both in person and over the phone so you will need to be able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of professionalism. You will engage with Ecology’s ten environmental programs and make determinations on directing inquiries. You’ll be responsible for coordinating emergency personnel (i.e. fire, police and medical) that come to the building in response to an emergency, serving as the first line of security for the Central Region Office. What you will do:
Use a multi-functional telephone with five incoming lines.
Process outgoing and incoming mail.
Direct customers to appropriate staff for assistance, handling multiple forms of communication simultaneously, and providing courteous customer service.
Use agency standard computer and computer software to:
Create, maintain, and print documents.
Access information on the web page.
Communicate through electronic mail.
Access the calendar and schedule time.
Schedule conference rooms.
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with co-workers, agency staff, private sector and other government agencies. Maintain effective working relationships.
Participate in group processes and on teams.
Provide positive, accurate and pleasant customer service to external clients.
Take accurate messages and forward messages to the appropriate personnel.
Perform clerical support duties including but not limited to creating emails, typing letters, making copies, and scheduling meetings for the Region’s Business Administrator and other staff.
Research and produce copies of well logs for customers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. Donor Alliance is hiring a Family Support Coordinator-Bilingual (Spanish) in Denver! The FSC position is the front line staff member responding to potential organ donor referrals from hospitals. Referral information is assessed via rapid phone response, and is often followed with on-site response to the hospital for clinical and social evaluation of referral scenarios. The FSC interfaces with hospital staff to assess and influence case progression. This position supports and educates the potential donor’s legal next-of-kin (NOK) regarding donation options. The FSC conducts discussion of authorization by donor designation (i.e., first-person authorization via the donor registry, when applicable) or requests authorization for donation from legal NOK. This position assists with Hospital Development strategies and activities to improve the donation process. Day-To-Day
On-call shifts as assigned (minimum assignment 12 24-hour shifts/month). On-call responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Immediate phone response to referral notification
Rapid on-site identification and clinical/social evaluation of potential donors
Discussion of authorization by donor designation (when applicable) or request for authorization for donation from legal next of kin.
Complete, accurate, and timely documentation of donor-related activities in computerized confidential donor record, forms, and case folders according to established policies and procedures
Notification of, and interaction with, administrator on-call as appropriate and according to established policies and procedures
When needed assists with responses to entire Donor Alliance service area to perform job functions via personal automobile or chartered aircraft.
Attends and participates in conference calls and organizational meetings as directed.
Office hours for family support purposes as needed to complete chart documentation, case letters, projects and assignments.
Successfully completes Dual Advocacy training and implements techniques.
Participates in post-donor/post-recovery conferences and Donor Resource Team meetings.
Visit all local Colorado hospitals annually or biannually. The focus is to develop and support the hospital’s donation system, which includes annual teaching.
Maintains confidentiality of donor and recipient information according to established policies and procedures.
May perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area or equivalent combination of appropriate education and work experience required.
Background in social work preferred. Background in family/bereavement counseling, psychology, or chaplaincy in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
Ability to interface effectively and diplomatically with all levels of personnel in various healthcare settings (interoffice personnel, donor hospitals, transplant centers, donor families, and the public) required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with public speaking experience desired. Ability to communicate in Spanish (read, write, speak) preferred.
Ability to meet the requirements of a variable and demanding call schedule required.
Demonstrated accuracy, organizational skills, integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Valid driver’s license required.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
